Great Intro to New York
Sun, Jul 26  2:30 PM striner Male 30-39 International Tourist(s) Other
Be prepared to walk, but what a great tour. All the actors are great, though we did approach one thinking he was part of the experience; he was just a run of the mill New Yorker acting very strange. Really engaging, and the more you put your heart into it the better - let yourself go; pretend like a child and play. (I am 39, but my inner child came out). Bit of a lottery on the group though, the others on ours were a mixed bag with some really not that interested which really took the edge off - hence four, not five stars. This would be a perfect - and cheap - work get to know each other thing; two groups of eight an hour apart competing for bragging rights of working things out would be a super team builder. You can tell the cast love it - they laugh and engage with you. They were superb with their wit and preparedness and improv skills were excellent. It was hot, and I was genuinely concerned about one of the actors. He was a hero, even though much of the group was disinterested in his prop, he soldiered on and got the message to the people in the group who were interested. Just get the gut some sunscreen and a knackered hat. Great stuff and I thoroughly recommend it to New Yorkers as much as foreigers like me (from Australia).

Accomplice NY was a Super Sweet Sixteen
Sat, Jul 18  4:30 PM cherrus Female 40-49 Local Other
My Husband and I brought mt 13 year old son and 16 year old daughter with 6 of her friends to Accomplice NY for her Sweet Sixteen. Everyone absolutely loved it! The characters were wonderful actors and improvisers. Every time we met up with a character, we thought "this person is really good, the next can't be as good" Each time we were proven wrong. They were all wonderful! We each had our own favorite. I can't imagine the tour without them. We live in North Jersey and even though my daughters's friends have been to NYC, they said this was such a great idea, because they had never visited the areas of NYC that the tour walked through. It's been two days and we've already told around 20 people that they have to this. I've already gathered 4 couples to come with my husband and I so we can do Accomplice the Village. We were the second to last group of the day and could have had the opportunity to speak with the actors since most were done with their parts. Both my husband and I would have loved to stay and talk to them, but we had the kids and had been on the move since 8:00am, and they were quite exhausted. We had already put in a solid 9 hours that day by taking the ferry into NYC, a bus midtown, walked around Central park and gone on a carriage ride, taken another bus to go on the Beast and another bus downtown to catch Accomplice and we all had enough energy and humor to to agree that Accomplice was the highlight of the day.

Fun and friendly

After waiting in a designated(we arrived early) area my friend and I wondered how in the world anyone could find us--or the other members of our group. Sure enough, we were found, and the fun began immediately. The actors were all really into their roles, which got us into our 'roles', which made the entire adventure so much more exciting and fun. Our group meshed very well together----the way people do when they need to solve something together. I strongly recommend this exciting activity for anyone who is visiting New York.

Absolutely Phenomenal!!!

This was a bachelorette party made up of a bunch of people who didn't previously know each other. By the end of the day, we were all well acquainted and had shared many laughs. The actors/characters are amazing, the tasks/clues are a blast and it was incredibly well organized. Our New Yorkers in the group are all anxious to do the Village show and our Los Angelenos are itching to do the Hollywood show. Thanks to Neil Patrick Harris for talking it up on talk shows so we learned about it - now we can each talk it up to further promote this terrifically fun afternoon. A million thumbs up!!!

Game or Role Play?

My 20 year old son and I were really excited about the Accomplice concept. We'd read we'd enjoy it more if we got into the story and played along. However, our team of 12 was dominated by a very nice family of 8. The group of mostly young teens either weren't all that interested, or were playing "to win.". So we mostly spent three hours taking directions from the family and feeling disappointed.

brilliant acting can be lots of fun
Sun, Jul 5  1:00 PM chasmac Female 40-49 International Tourist(s) Other
We very much enjoyed the acting and seeing parts of New York we had not thought to look at before. Unfortunately being only 2 people amongst a family group of 7 made it very difficult to be involved in the clue solving as a small number of people from the family group took over the clues and raced off ahead before we could even see the clues, let alone help solve them. Someone else in the group was rather rude and bossy and so we felt as if we were just tagging along with no involvement. I thought the concept was good, the acting really good and I would do something like this again if I was in a group of people I knew well or could be assured it was couples.

We came to New York with a group of girls from work. This was recommended by a co-worker who did this in the past. It was so much fun. We all would recommend this to any group. You get to see many area's of the town that you would not see if you were not walking. Thanks for a great night!

I did this with my 3 daughters (all in their early 20"s) and we had a great time. We had a great group and met some "characters". I would highly recommend this activity. If you are very serious minded, it may not be for you. But if you have a sense of humor and a sense of adventure, sign up - you'll enjoy it.

This was a unique and fun way to spend a day in the city. Would be fun with friends or family, or on a date. Like the "Sopranos" meets "The Amazing Race"!

Fantastic Fun

We and another couple had a great afternoon walking/finding our way around by clues left for us at multiple locations and delivered by multiple "shady" characters. The make up of these shady characters - actors all - made the afternoon all that much more enjoyable. Looking out for clues, deciphering codes, following trails, made for a fantastic time for all of us. We'll be on to L.A. next for Accomplice Again!
