Fun Alternative to Traditional Theatre Accomplice: The Village

The staff was clever and professional, and if you want to act along the show becomes that much more fun and convincing. Definitely consider Accomplice for a day of outdoor entertainment.

We were a group ranging from 2 kids 11 and 13, 3 people in their 20's and the rest 45+. We ALL had a great time. Some have lived in Manhattan a long time and some were visiting. All found the experience fun and different. Great value for the money and the actors were fantastic. Highly recommend for an interactive experience. I agree with their assessment of kids -- really 13 and up would be good (my 11 year old took a bit to get used to it).

I live right here in New York City (NYU area). My 12 year old niece was coming in for the day. She has been to the city many times and has seen all the touristy things so the idea of participating in The Accomplice: The Villlage sounded like the perfect activity for us to do. We had the best day together. Seeing her trying to figure out the clues was the highlight of my day. It was awesome having the drinks and food at all the stops. She wants to come back in the spring to do the bigger one, The Accomplice: New York (Soho, Chinatown, etc). And I can't wait to take her. Now that being said. I think I would have trouble recommending this to my New York friends as an afternoon activity. Most of the people in my group were in their mid to late 20's (maybe early 30's). They seemed to get more out of it than I did. Maybe it was their age, maybe it was because this activity was not taking place in their backyard like I felt it was for me. I think I know the village too well to enjoy it. Maybe I'm just an old jaded New Yorker who just can't be "wow"ed anymore. Who knows. I think this is a great activity for tourists and I also think it's a great activity for a native New Yorker to take an out-of-town guest.

Our group of nine, some in their 20s, some 40s and some 50s were out to celebrate Betsy's Birthday. We all enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. I don't always like traditional Broadway shows so this was a great choice for me. You're out and about in the midst of all the hub bub of the village and get to play detective. Great fun!. It's like nothing you've ever experienced before. A great group activity which we all enjoyed and we're still talking about it days later!
A good idea, but... Accomplice: The Village

It took us almost three hours and it felt like it fell apart in the middle. I think if you could shorten it and include a bit more village history, it would be more fun. It was cold, so that didn't help, but we were all ready to be done by the time we got to the guy. From that point forward, we didn't enjoy it, nor did the other couple we were with. Also, the under-story was too much of a stretch.

We are a family of 3 (2 40-somethings and a 12y/o son), and we absolutely loved this. It was a great way to tour The Village and see some sights. We were in a group with a 20-something couple and the 5 of us had to solve the puzzle. Without hesitation we banded together to solve the mystery. I am pretty sure the person who had the most fun was my 12y/o. I would definitely do this again with the NYC show. Great fun for a large group, it might have been less interesting with just our small family. I would definitely recommend this to all. Bring some people with you so you ensure you have a full group. JUST DO IT!!!!!!

I went on the tour as part of a date. A larger group is best however it was a unique experience that I think almost anyone can enjoy. The people working the event were great and eventhough it was frigid out you aren't outside the whole time so we were more than comfortable. I would recommend to anyone looking for something a bit different (Note: this is not a tour although you do see the neighborhood) I am local so this is what I was looking for.

I enjoyed doing something different, and I think the "show" can appeal to a lot of people as such. Good idea having the city itself as the backdrop for some kind of drama slash scavenger hunt. However, I would have preferred if they chose one of those two directions and went further with it. Either up the standard on the acting bits, or (my preference) make it a more challenging, engaging scavenger hunt. Perhaps the second choice could have been achieved with more stops, less "acting" at each, and a little less obvious clues. But then I guess they're tailoring it to tourists, so maybe challenging enough for them. My two cents.

It was freezing cold on the night we went to do this in the Village for my 27th birthday, but we had such a great time! We were a small group of 3 and yet it was very exciting! I highly recommend it to EVERYONE!

I know the web site states you don't have to have any knowledge of the area but it sure helped that the other family with us used to live locally otherwise we'd still be probably wandering around aimlessly. I found it a tad confusing for my scrambled brain but netherless thoroughly enjoyed it as did my husband and two sons (21 & 25) Our sons thought we were just on a normal walking tour of Greenwich Village and the reaction on their faces during the first "incident" was priceless. A lot of laughs and my two sons still are convinced that the other family who did the tour with us "were in on it".

The show started out extremely slow and somewhat confusing! We started to leave but decided to stay because of the excellant reviews! After about an hour it started to get really fun! The kids 16 and 11 loved it!! A few stops take place in local pubs, so be aware of that if you are taking your kids! We would definitely do the other Accomplice show in NYC!
