great entertainment
Sat, Sep 22, 07   1:30 PM wagnerb Male 60-69 Domestic Tourist(s) Family With Children
My wife and I and our grown daughter and her husband thoroughly enjoyed the experience. In particular, we thought the individuals with whom we came into contact were effective and believable. Each of them addressed each person in our group instead of just focussing on one or two - made everyone feel involved. We plan to go again to the Village venue soon.

Fun Interactive Tour!
Sat, Sep 22, 07   1:30 PM jandall Female 30-39 Domestic Tourist(s) Group of Friends
My friend and I were in New York for a girls' weekend to catch some shows and shop. We enjoyed this tour. It took us through some parts of town we would not have otherwise gone through on our visit. The actors were all wonderful and helped to make the activity fun. We definitely recommend this to others.

Pricey but Fun
Sat, Sep 22, 07   1:00 PM desaibella Female 30-39 Local Group of Friends
This was a great, unique adventure, but it *is* a little bit pricey for a weekend afternoon activity. If you can part with the cash (or better yet, someone else is paying!), then it's fantastic. The actors were hilarious, and you're always wandering around wondering who's in on the game. BRING AN UMBRELLA -- there was no forecast for rain, but the continuous drizzle didn't stop the show. And we got wet (we still had fun, though). Also, a camera is very helpful and a great way to record the adventure. You MUST suspend disbelief and engage w/ the actors in order for this to work. NOT fun for cynics or too-cool-for-school types.

Unique and Fun

It was definitely a blast, and I highly recommend it. The actors do an excellent job of drawing you in and making it fun. You will not be disappointed. Just go, alone, on a date, with a group, whatever. It's a nice way to meet new people. My group was a great combination of locals and tourists. We all had a good time. Anne-Marie

Must Experience for Yourself!!
Sun, Sep 16, 07   3:30 PM supriya_shon Female 20-29 Local Family Without Children
Even if you live in the NY area, this experience is one you really have to experience for yourself. Being a part of a plot really makes you want to keep going. I had my brother visiting and it was just a wonderful way for both of us to get a first hand experience in the city rather than the dry tourist trails. Very engaging! I would recommend trying to get a group together, it would've been a lot more fun if I had some more friends with me.

A great idea, with a bit more potential
Sun, Sep 16, 07   2:30 PM alozada Male 30-39 Local Group of Friends
The idea is great, although I guess it has been "toned down" due to possible complaints from sensitive tourists. It is a GREAT experience, if you're in the mood to agree to the storyline, this is not for everyone --you have to at least TRY to go along with the story. It is a nice way to take a tour of lower east Manhattan, a refreshing experience in all. Some of the acting is a bit overdone, I guess to make the experience easier, I would have liked it to be a bit more mysterious, and even a bit more difficult, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Thanks!! The authors and the performers are REALLY nice.

Great Fun

I do not remember a time where i had this much fun. It was one of the most different things i ever done. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Same goes as my friends that were with me. It was a birthday present for my friend, and he loved it too. The group of people that were with us also, were really nice. The actors were really great too. Very amusing. If you want a tour of New York City, don't go on a boring tour bus ride with a guide. Do The Accomplice and it will be your unofficial guide of the great NYC. You will not be disappointed.

Mob-based walking tour is a hit, man.

I booked the Accomplice: New York tour on a complete whim after reading the review in Time Out. I have to admit to being a little sceptical. I was going to be on my own, rather than with friends, and was a little bit worried that my natural British reserve would make me want to shy away from the action. As it turned out, this was really not a problem. (And that's an example of British understatement). The actors are talented and funny, and quickly draw you into the plot. The clues are unusual and just difficult enough so that they can be solved quickly but without making you feel like you are being led through the story without doing anything. There is a real, if slightly bizarre, sense of achievement when you make it through to the end. And you really do get to see/hang out in some fun parts of the city. I'd love to tell you more, but I'm worried that I spoil it, so I'll keep it short and sweet. I had a great time and thoroughly recommend the show. PS. Yes, I am suitable embarrassed at the awful pun in the header of this review.

original way of viewing the city
Sat, Sep 15, 07   5:00 PM escusa Female 30-39 Local Family Without Children
i set this up for my husband's bday. it was a lot of fun b/c we really tried to get into it. for us, getting around was easy b/c we knew this area very well. it may not be so easy for non-new yorkers or ppl who arent familiar with the city. be prepared to really walk. there was A LOT of walking, so sneakers are IDEAL. our group was in decent shape, but by the end we were pretty exhausted. for ppl who arent familiar w/ the seaport/brooklyn bridge region of ny, this is a good way to learn your way around and see a few sites. if u are familiar w/ this region, like we were, then maybe waiting for next spring when i believe they may do greenwich village area might be better?! the actors played their parts well. have fun with them, we did! some of this may seem a bit on the corny side, but have fun, u gotta go in w/ the right attitude. i want to tell fam and friends about it, but i rather they experience it first hand. try to get a group of 8 friends to do it - otherwise youre put into a grp who may travel at a diff. pace then u. luckily we happened to have a very nice group.

Amazing!

I would reccommend Accomplice NYC to ANYONE! I went with about 20 people in celebration of my boyfriends 30th, and they were more then accomadating. Everyone that went couldn't stop talking about how much fun they had. They even worked with me to add information in the show about him. All ticket agencies should be this pleseant to work with. This is an activity I would highly reccomend, it helps you see a different side of the city, while you are "part of a crime" Besides being entertaing the actors were hysterical! If you have not been to Accomplice yet you don't know what you are missing! Great Job!!!

my 22 yo daughter and I did Accomplice:The Village and had a wonderful time. Some in our group were not "into" the experience, but there were 6 of us who had fun with the actors and had a great time of it. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants a unique look at the city and enjoys a little banter with others. The actors were fun and the whole event was memorable.

Fun without the "wow".
Sat, Sep 15, 07   4:00 PM UllaMazz Male 40-49 Domestic Tourist(s) Couple on a Date
We enjoyed Accomplice: The Village very much, however our scheduled time slot was arbitrarily moved to a later time and our scheduled dinner plans needed to be canceled, which also through the rest of the evening plans off. Apart from a potential time realignment, I am sure you will enjoy the adventure.
