Great family adventure!

We had a great time on our kayak trip. The guides were fantastic and took good care of the whole group. We were hoping to see spinner dolphins, and even though we didn't, we had a great time snorkeling and checking out the monument to Captain Cook. I would highly recommend Adventures in Paradise for this excursion.

This excursion was a great start to our trip. We enjoyed it thoroughly and the dolphins swimming all around us was an unexpected bonus.

There are a lot of great trips in Hawaii, but most are way overpriced. This is NOT one of them. Adventures in Paradise offers a very straighforward, well organized adventure that should please anyone wanting to kayak and snorkel in one of Hawaii's most beautiful spots. The tour leaders are experienced and seem interested in making sure everyone has a great (and safe) experience. If you are not careful, they may also teach you a thing or two about the island and sealife. Highly recommended !

Low key kayak of Kealakekua Bay

The kayak outfit seemed like a shoestring operation, and was run out of a house. That said, the tour guides acted professionally and provided a safe and enjoyable tour of the bay. We saw dolphins and arrived at the snorkel spot near the Captain Cook monument ahead of other boats. That made for a low key visit to the snorkel area. The morning breakfast did not include coffee but just some cold muffins. The snack of fruit and more baked goods was refreshing and adequate. The organization goes by two names, so is a little difficult to keep track of. Would recommend consolidate their name/web site into one name. They might also provide some coffee in the morning.

My husband and I are inexperienced kayakers. We were apprehensive about how much skill was required, but our guide, Ryan, immediately set us at ease. He was friendly and knowledgable about the area, extremely helpful in getting in and out of the kayak and the water when we snorkled. We saw dolphins on our way out, which was the highlight of the trip for me! The reef is beautiful and is teeming with colorful fish. I highly recommend this adventure. It was worth it to leave early to have the bay to ourselves and to snorkel before the big noisy crowds showed up.

This is an excellent tour! It's an early start, but it was worth it. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly. We had such a good time, that we booked this company's night-time manta ray tour later that week (also a great experience!)

What a fantastic experience. The guides were very knowledgeable and helpful. I was nervous going in to this being that it was my first time in a kayak, but they put me at ease. We got to see lots of fish, had some fantastic snacks, and spinner dolphins on the way back. Best snorkeling on the island.

Roy and Joy were great guides. If you want to be stress free and not only learn about the history and area but also get out to the Captain Cook area for great snorkeling, this is a good trip. Unfortunately, they are bounded by their Hawaiin license to stay in the kayak, so when we saw dolphins next to our kayak we couldnt swim with them (even though others who just rented kayaks for the day could). Would recommend it for first time kayakers or those who are not adventorous and want to be guided to the destination.
