The only real problem, and I'm sure all the companies deal with it, is getting in and out of the kayak. My Wife had a difficult time, and smashed her finger against the brick wall getting out. I would think there could be a better way of getting in and out. |

The guides were knowledgable, friendly, and helpful. The water is absolutely gorgeous, the clearest water just like an aquarium. To get a close view of the monument without doing the hike down was great. Overall a great experience. |

Initially we considered going on a large cruise boat for our snorkeling excursion, but after reading the details on their website we decided this trip better described what we were looking for. We loved the privacy of the entire adventure. From paddling our own kayak to the small size of our group the entire adventure was perfect. The tour guides Karen and Kira were awesome. They were very hospitable and have excellent knowledge of the landscape and history of the area which made the day all we hoped and more. If you are considering a snorkeling tour this one is a MUST! |

We had a great experience kayaking and snorkeling to Captain Cook Monument with Adventures in Paradise. Our guide was very conscious of environmental and safety issues and knowledgeable about what we were seeing. It was my first time snorkeling and her instructions were clear and encouraging. (They're used to helping first-timers.) I'm glad we gave our business to a company that was concerned about environmental stewardship. AND we had fun! Wonderful fish, coral, anemone and urchin watching up close and we were lucky to see spinner dolphins going both ways. |

We were pleased with this whole trip. The guides were great and provided great detail and history of the area. The snacks provided were simple and some had a local flair. We saw lots of fish and the guides stayed readily available for questions. We would highly recommend them for anyone in the area. |

We found our guide, Roy, to be laid back and excellent in his knowledge of the area and ability to take good care of clients. He is a retired fireman and is very capable. He told us some interesting information about the area we were visiting and about the coffee growing industry. The equipment is not new, but we didn't pay top of the line prices for the trip either. The equipment was very serviceable and met all safety requirements. We thought the trip was a very good value. |

We took our 2 kids on the kayak snorkel trip 4.22.11 and really enjoyed it. 9 year old and 11 year old each in a tandem kayak with adult. 2 others in our group, with 2 leaders. We realized the early start was worth it when we'd been snorkeling at the monument for an hour or so, and several boats, including the huge Fairwinds pulled up and over 50 other snorkelers hopped in the water, and it got crowded. Roy and Joy were great guides - knowledgeable and helpful. Good snacks, good equipment. We much preferred this small group and would use this outfitter again. |

We had a great time kayaking/snorkeling with Adventures in paradise. The staff is warm, friendly and very attentive to everyone in the group. They keep the trip interesting with fun/informative facts about the area and it's history. They are also very conscious of the environment and go out of their way to help preserve/protect the area. Speaking of the area, the cove is best experienced from a kayak where you can take in the beauty of the surrounding cliffs, and get up close with the local pods of (sleeping) spinner dolphins without disturbing them. The snorkeling was world class with tons of coral and many different species of fish. I would highly recommend captain cooks cove and adventures In paradise by far the best way to experience it. |

We had a wonderful time. The snorkeling is some of the best we've ever seen. We also got to see a pod of sleeping dolphins. The tour guides were very respectful and knowledgeable about the environment. If you're looking for something to do on the Big Island, this is highly recommended. |
