| Honestly, I had no desire to go on a bicycle tour, but my boyfriend talked me into it. I hadn't been on a bicycle in over 20 years. When we got to the bike shop I began to have second thoughts and really wanted to leave. I AM SO GLAD I STAYED.
Garrett and Sam, two of our tour guides, were really helpful and completely put me at ease. They made sure that the bike was adjusted to my needs and went over the gear and braking instructions more than once and always with a smile.
The tour was fabulous. I had so much fun. We made plenty of stops where our guides would give a brief description of where we were and its significance. Who knew molasses could kill?
Though the tour took us through some heavy traffic areas, I always felt safe. The guides were constantly looking out for us and directing us. I saw many sites that I would not have seen otherwise.
I highly recommend this tour. It is geared to all fitness levels. Trust me...I'm no Lance Armstrong. It is a really great way to see the city and get a little exercise. |

My husband and I were looking for a great way to be introduced to Boston and I am so glad we came across this tour. Can't say enough about everyone at Urban Adventures - they were so nice, enthusiastic and made sure that the group felt comfortable and enjoyed the entire ride. You could tell that they enjoyed their jobs. We had a sunny day and it had been a while since I last rode a bike. We had decided on the Cityview Tour and the ride itself was about 12 miles around Boston - it certainly did not feel like it! It was a great way to get to know the different areas of the city so we could make our way back to those spots we were most interested in. The different tour guides shared some of their inside knowledge about the city which was great. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to get to know Boston especially if you are only there for a weekend like we were!

This tour was great! The tour guides led us through all parts of the city & we were able to get into the neighborhoods on our bikes. The guides were very knowledgeable about the various areas. We had lots of fun, it was probably the highlight of our trip to Boston/Cambridge.

My 9- and 12-year old children and I enjoyed the ride, the sights and the stories. The guides were friendly and made sure everyone was happy with his/her bike. The pace was leisurely, with plenty of opportunities to stop, take photos, and hear about the city. My only two concerns: size and price. The tour group was large (19 riders with 3 guides) which made it difficult for us all to get through intersections. Sometime a guide would block traffic for all of us to get through, but when there wasn't someone blocking traffic, it wasn't clear whether we were expected to zip through or stop and risk holding everyone up. Maybe some more instruction on "how to ride in such a large group" would have helped. Two smaller groups with 2 guides each would have felt much safer. As for price, I can't help but wonder whether more families would be willing to take advantage of this great way to see the city if a discounted price was offered for children...or a AAA discount...or a GoBoston Card discount. Nevertheless, the bike tour was one of the best parts of our Boston visit!

I, my 12 yr old grandson and his buddy visited Boston for the first time this past week. Our main objective was the Red Sox game but we also wanted to see the city and its sights. In three hours, we covered about 12 miles through neighborhoods, parks, city streets, Beacon Hill, the Works! It was just about perfect. Our tour guide, Patrick, was knowledgeable, kind and tolerant. Our group was small and he manuvered us through Boston like the pro he is.

This tour was a great way to spend our first day seeing Boston. Most of the ride was flat, and we stopped numerous times to discuss sites. I don't think I would have had the opportunity to see as many areas of Boston if we hadn't taken this ride. We did the duck tour the next day, and we saw many different areas, so it wasn't redundant. The tour guides were helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. I would recommend this for anyone who wants an active tour as opposed to passive.

This is a great way to see many areas of Boston with a good explanation of the sights along the tour. Our tour lasted nearly 3 hours and was well worth the cost. The guides are entertaining and interesting. The online reservation process is easy. It' also very easy to take the T to the bicycle tour location. Initially, we were looking for a Segway tour but at the time there were none, so we decided to take a bicycle tour -- a wonderful alternative.

My husband and I took this tour in Boston on our honeymoon. We were only in town 3 days and with all there is to see in boston, the tour quickly covered a lot of it. We really enjoyed the experience. The guides were friendly, knowledgeble, and funny. The biking itself was a pretty leisurely pace, kids and older adults could keep up. All it all, I would highly recommend this tour!

We (49 and 13 year old males) had an incredible time on the tour!! They ensured our bikes and helmets were in perfect condition, and provided frozen water that stayed cold the entire three hours for us to drink. Sam and Garrett led our tour and provided a wealth of fascinating knowledge about various neighborhoods throughout the greater Boston/Brookline area. They were sincerely enthusiastic, which set the tone for a really fun tour. Stopping at many venues allowed all to rest for a minute while learning facts about the venue. The ride was easy, seemingly mostly flat and/or downhill with very little uphill pedaling necessary. Highly recommend this tour as a way to get to know Boston from very knowledgeable and enthusiastic residents.
