We had an awesome time and would highly recommend this as a way to see the city over any other tour. We had the pleasure of meeting Glen our tour guide on what was supposed to be a group outing but thanks to Hurrican Irene it ended up being a private tour. He was extremely informative, kind, personable and all around great guy! He would make an ecellent tour guide, actor, cycling partner or drinking buddy. Do this tour without fear and with a great deal of delight in your heart. This is a billion times better than any trolly tour!!

Would highly recommend this as a way to see the wider city. We did it the morning after a long flight from England and we found it really blew away the jet lag. Guides are very knowledgable and take great care over your safety in the Boston traffic. There were children from 10 years upwards in our wider group and they managed fine.

A great way to explore the city

A really fun way to see the city. Our guides gave us lots of history and interesting stories as we went along. They also gave us time to ask questions and take lots of photos along the way. The tour was very well organised with water bottles supplied, and bags on the front handlebars to put wallets and cameras, so as not to have to carry bags or backpacks. Highly recommended!!

Excellent way to see the city

Tour guides were very informative, the cycling was enjoyable and not too strenuous. The ride is broken up into approximately 10 minute sections. As an international visitor I was worried about cycling in a place where I didn't really know the rules of the roads, but most of the roads we cycled on were quiet and we were well guided through busier parts. Overall it was very good, worth the money and I would do another tour again.

This was a great way to see Boston in good weather

I (46) went on this tour with my husband (54) and son (19) on a Sunday morning. We all thought this bike tour was a major highlight of our 6 day stay in Boston. The store clerks were extremely helpful and friendly as were the tour guides. The tour took about 2 hours and 45 minutes and was a lot of fun with some beautiful stretches of biking. The main guide was knowledgeable and seemed to genuinely like his job. This is not a high intensity tour, however, I do not recommend it to anyone who struggles walking up a flight of stairs. You don't really go thru MIT but rather, you see where it is across the water. This was the only way this tour did not live up to my expectations. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who is generally fit and wants to get an overview of part of the city. The guides did a great job of protecting the group from traffic, however, I was happy to do this at a time the traffic was relatively light. The tour provided a frozen bottle of water that properly thawed during the ride. There is an attached carrier that could easily hold another water bottle, a banana and a energy bar should you want to bring them. Again-- we loved this experience and hope you considerer it if this is your kind of thing. Enjoy!

A great way to enjoy boston

This was a great way to spend a Saturday being active, social and learning some neat facts about Boston! We arrived early and got breakfast at Quincy Market -FHall. It was neat to be at FHall when the vendors were just setting up, and the bike shop is just across the street. The guides were enjoyable and personable. The route was great for diversity and ease. There is so much to do in the area when the ride is completed. We hope to get all the tours in this season.

City View tour great overall

City View tour was very good. Our guide gave us interesting historical perspectives at different spots. As a photographer, I'd love to stop at more "photo worthy" locations, but I realize it's a bike tour, not a photo tour. I would've appreciated a restroom stop along the way. Also, a partially frozen water bottle would have worked better in the August heat. You should mention on the website that there are storage bags on the bikes, for cameras, chapstick, etc. That's not made clear when a reservation is made. Also, we appreciated being able to check our backpacks at the shop, but that's not offered as an option either. One person in the group somewhat monopolized the guide, limiting what s/he could share with the rest of us. Otherwise, an awesome tour on a gorgeous afternoon in Boston!

Boston by bike is great way to experience the city
Thu, Aug 11, 11   10:00 AM treeds Female 50-59 International Tourist(s) Other
My husband and I have taken bike tours of other cities and enjoyed them so we thought we would try out this one. We were very pleased. It was our first time visiting Boston and we felt the bike tour provided us with a great overview of the main areas and many highlights. Being able to get up close to sites and ask questions made good use of our short time in the area.

It was so great to be easily riding the streets of Boston on a beautiful day, learning fun facts about the city. Especially cool zooming past a ton of people crammed into the usual city tour trips. The guides were GREAT. All ability levels were in our group of 9. We LOVED it and hope to do some more rides again.
