My wife and I had a great time. We saw more of the city in 3 hours than we could have in a couple of days by ourselves. The equipment was top notch and the guides where great. We had more fun than two people should be allowed to have. If we get back to Boston we will ride again.

This is a wonderful way to tour Boston! It was great to be out on a bike getting exercise AND discovering all that Boston has to offer! Our guide Lou was very personable and knowledgeable. I have since gone on the NYC Century and spoke highly about the tour to everyone I met. I even used my "I Bike Boston" water bottle to "show my love" for this wonderful tour.

I really enjoyed it to discover Boston by bike. Nice bike trip, you'll see more of boston than beeing on a sightseeing tour bus. The guide did a great job !

Great way to see boston

Taking this bike tour was a great way to see a good portion of Boston. It sure beats Walking the freedom trail, especially with two young teenagers to entertain. The guides were friendly and have some interesting stories to tell about the city. The bikes were comfortable and well maintained. The route was not difficult (although my wife and kids did complain a little having to bike up beacon hill). My only complaint, if you want to call it that, is I think that they should have given everyone a water bottle to keep. It would be a good way to advertise and a nice keepsake from the tour.

Great way to experience Boston

My wife and I are from Denmark and were not too familiar with Boston before we arrived on a tourist visit. Being good bikers, we therefore decided to take a guided bike tour of the city. The route was 10 miles (16 km) during 2½ hours. No rush and good time for story telling etc but still enough speed to make ait a real bike ride. The guide was young but good and we got a good introduction to places we want to visit closer (museum, neighbourhoods etc) . The only thing we really missed was a map attached to the handle bar. This would have improved our overview of the city a great deal.

We took the City Bike tour on our recent trip to Boston. What a fantastic tour!! The bikes were so comfortable and in such great shape! We covered a lot of territory in a relaxed yet exciting manner. Our tour guides were fun and made us feel proud of ourselves. Would highly recommend this tour above any other tourist event in Boston.

A wonderful way to explore the city of Boston

This is one of our favorite ways to tour a city as you don't tire so easily when touring historic sites. We were very pleased with the Adventour guides and employees. They were fun and very knowledgeable about the neighborhoods we travelled through. My husband and I took the tour with our 2 girls, ages 12 and 14 and they actually didn't complain or whine for one minute the entire trip -- an amazing feat for our girls. The only thing that gave me concern was riding on city streets so close to cars at certain times. However, the guides were extremely careful and watchful for our whole group (about 20 of us) and I felt safe with them in the lead and following behind. I would definitely recommend this activity for anyone who enjoys biking and seeing the sites of the city. Just bring a gel seat or ask if they have one to borrow, as my bottom still hurt 2 days later! Cheryl G. from PA

Great way to see the city of Boston!

The tour was well run, well organized and F-U-N. My husband thought I was crazy for suggesting a bike ride in the city Boston and feared it would be dangerous. He was pleasantly surprised by how safe and well organized it was. The tour takes you down quiet side streets and whenever it was necessary to cross a busy road one of the guides would go out ahead and direct traffic. We are from Mass and know Boston pretty well but still enjoyed seeing the different neighborhoods and all the spectacular views even on a cloudy day! Our two teenaged children had a great time. The guides are very informative and entertaining. Since we did it we have recommended it to all our family and friends. If you are visiting Boston this tour will show you how beautiful the city is!

awesome tour, great bikes!

I highly recommend the Boston City View tour, esp. if you only have 1-2 days to see the whole city. It covers an immense amount of ground, from the harbor, through all the touristy sites and a couple universities, all the way to Fenway and back. It's well organized, the tour guides are very informed, and the bikes are great! Considering I haven't ridden a bike in years, the pace is decent - it's not as "leisurely" as the description makes it out to be, as you are almost constantly riding, but it is a FUN 2.5 hrs!

It was a very informative trip without being boring or overloading you with info. The guides were enthusiastic and very friendly. I would highly recommend this for someone who hates the thought of sitting on a boring bus tour but wants a good over view of the city.

Great Way to see Boston as Locals Do!
Sat, Aug 8  10:00 AM Nowell Male 60-69 International Tourist(s) Family Without Children
Very enjoyable and informative tour, with several helpful guides (3 for group of 16) who live in and love the area, as well as cycling. Great perspectives on many points of interest and we covered the town. Guides were well-informed and could answer additional questions, like why so many brick sidewalks! Pace is easily manageable and you need only basic cycling skills and enough oomph to climb Beacon Hill. Compared to other tours, it beats walking because you can cover so much more ground! North End, South End, Fenway, riverside trail and more. Compared to those dumb Duck tours, you got off the roads and went right into the Christian Science compound, Boston Common, riverside paths and other areas of interest. We did the historical Freedom Trail walking tour first and found this was an excellent complement to it. Left us feeling we had a good overview of Boston.
