Teen Approved Intro to Boston!!
Wed, Jul 22, 09   2:00 PM Julie_Oswald Female 40-49 Domestic Tourist(s) Family With Children
My 16 year old son and I thoroughly enjoyed our bike tour around Boston. The easy loops through neighborhoods, gardens and past museums, squares and historical sights were well balanced, chatty and enjoyable all around. It was very cool to recognize where we had been all throughout the week following the tour and our appreciation of it grew even more. Actually inspired, we both committed to touring future cities by bike as well. Bike rides make memorable days!

Great way to see Boston

My wife and I, with our 22 yo son, took the bike tour with Len as our guide. My wife is not an avid biker, but the terrain, frequent breaks, and step-by-step directions for each leg of the trip made it easy for us all, and before we knew it, we had finished a 10-12 mile ride. Len was very knowledgeable about Boston, both historically and recently. We highly recommend this company as guides for a wonderful way to see Boston. We enjoyed getting some exercise and touring "green".

The Only Set Of Wheels You Need To See Boston!

My friends and I were only going to be in Boston for a day and a half and we wanted to see as much as we could. I stumbled upon Urban AdvenTours while doing some research and thought this would be a great way to see and learn about Boston while getting some exercise and enjoying a beautiful Sunday. It was everything I had hoped for and more. Our tour guide Garrett had everyone introduce themselves to the group, he then explained what we would be doing before we started, as well as giving us a safety lesson and before you knew it we were off to our first destination. I haven't been on a bike in quite some time but I felt very safe riding on the streets of Boston. I was able to see Boston in 2.5 hours which is something I would not have been able to do given my time constraints. I highly recommend taking this tour- it's fun, educational, and a great way to see Boston! I'd consider taking this tour again the next time I am in town.

Totally enjoyed this bike tour. The bikes were nice (not too fancy) and in very good shape. We took breaks for photo ops and water on regular intervals. Our tour guide was the best. He really knew the city and was able to answer any question we threw at him. Would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants a little exercise and fresh air.

Get the Insider's Tour of the City

My fiance and I took a weekend trip to Boston and the bike tour was the second thing we did (after an early morning tour at Sam Adams). It was also the best way to start off our trip because we really got a feel for the city. Our tour guide, Garrett, was awesome! He knew a ton about Boston and its neighborhoods. He covered some of the standard history, but really tailored his comments to our questions (which were mostly about the character of the neighborhoods and how their history made them what they are today). The two+ hours went by very quickly and without much exertion. There were a few precarious moments with traffic from cars and trucks, but that had more to do with the Boston drivers than our guide or us. If you want to really get a feel for where you'll be doing your sightseeing and what makes Boston, Boston, this is a great activity, well worth the price. Thanks for a great intro to Boston!

The best way to see Boston

Me and my boyfriend went on the bike tour. We both really enjoyed it. It was a really good way to see parts of the city that you wouldn't necessarily otherwise come across. They took us to some really stunning parts. You didn't feel overloaded with information either as you were cycling between stops giving you a chance to just take it all in. The bike ride itself was nice and easy. You stopped regularly and were supplied with water. One tour guide lead the way whilst another followed behind so you felt completely safe on the roads. The staff were really friendly. I would definately recommend this, preferably at the beginning of your stay as you're likely to want to go back to some of the places you see!

We had a great time on our tour. My wife was uncertain about biking in Boston Traffic; the route and the manuevers were expertly done. We've been to many of the sights before, but our guide made them fresh and interesting Anyone who bikes even a little will enjoy Boston City View Bicycle Tour very much. Ed Ware

The ride was fun and the guide was great. The only thing I would have liked is the ride to have been a little harder, but they have to accommodate everyone.

Best city tour

I have traveled the world and when in a new city, even though it's cheesy, I take a city tour. This was the first by bike. First time to Boston, first bike tour. What a nice way to see the city. We rode 11 miles in around 3 hours. Kids, grand-ma's, international couples and a newbie like me. The guides are enthusiasts and deserve many kudos. Go, enjoy.

This tour was excellent. It was well worth the time and money. Our tour guides, Chris and Greg, were a lot of fun as well as being very informational throughout the tour. We saw parts of Boston we would have never known were there. We would love to return to Boston for another day of biking!

Best way to see Boston!

I recommend the Boston City View Bicycle Tour without reservation to people of all ages from teens to pensioners. In my opinion a bike is the best way to explore a city but you do need a knowledgable leader to take you on the best routes. We cycled on quiet roads, through parks and on cycle lanes there were regular stops at points of interest and only one short incline. Anyone of reasonable fitness would be able to participate in this tour if you are able to cycle down to your local shop you are able to take part in this bike tour. We have done this sort of tour in other cities and I find it to be a less tiring way to see a city than on foot plus you see far more of the city than you possibly could by walking. Also, I don't think I would enjoy any of the tours on the road such as the duck tour as why would you want to sit in busy traffic when you could be exploring the sites of a ciy up close away from the traffic fumes!

Decent Tour, Stringent Policies
Fri, Jul 3, 09   10:00 AM rphover Male 20-29 Domestic Tourist(s) Family Without Children
The Boston City Tour was a good tour. I have a few thoughts though: 1. Our group was 25 with 4 guides. Why didn't they split us into groups of 12-13 with 2 guides each? This would have made things much easier to handle. 2. This company has a strict no-refund policy. This is a real pain for when weather issues occur and you are in town a short time. When we were in town it was pouring and they canceled our tour. The rain actually stopped by our tour time so we would have been a little upset if the next day (our last in town) it would have poured. I think it would be much more fair to have a cancellation fee instead of saying it is non-refundable. Overall, this was a nice tour through many neighborhoods. If they could fix up a few small details it would truly be amazing!
