See Boston on a Bike
Mon, Sep 8, 08   10:00 AM TomTownsend Unspecified 60-69 International Tourist(s) Family Without Children
We very much enjoyed the bike tour of Boston. The tour is a great way to see historical sights, impressive architecture and residential areas. Our guide was very informative. He engaged our interest and was able to answer our questions. We found that the bike, equipment etc was good. Although I was apprehensive about travelling along city streets this did not prove to be a threat at all. I would strongly recommend this activity to anyone who can ride a bike. The cost was very reasonable given that the ride lasts 2 1/2 hours.. We certainly found the employees accommodating. They plugged our meter to avoid a parking ticket.

My girlfriend and I were visiting Boston on vacation and we had a really great time on the trip. Aside from being a great workout, it was really informative and a great way to get around and see the city. I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting the city. Thanks again.

Great ride! If a biker..

The tour guide did a very good job with his presentation and leading us through the 12 mile ride through Boston. We enjoyed all we saw and would recommend this to anyone. That having been said.. If you don't ride regularly ( we don't) and are carrying a few extra pounds (we are) be prepared for the effort you'll need to make. Obviously we made it through the tour but did appreciate the shower afterwards. We will do this again the next time we come to Boston. We will be riding bikes ( a good thing!) between now and then so that we can enjoy it even more.

Great overview of Boston

This tour does a fine job of touring the communities within Boston. Much of the tour is on safe, quiet side streets, which allows participants to see parts of Boston they may otherwise miss. The tour stops, however, at many major sites of interest and the guides provide interesting details and stories.

Enjoyed the bike tour

I thoroughly enjoyed the Boston City View Bike Tour I took on Sept. 2. The AdvenTour staff was very nice and helpful when we had a public transportation snafu and had to reschedule. Sam, our tour guide, was knowledgable and enthusiastic. This is a great tour for the casual cyclist. The pace was manageable, and there were no steep hills. A more serious biker, however, might want more of a challenge.

I got a flat tire during my ride and they were very efficient in fixing it. Our guides were great and we had a really good time.

This was the first bike tour that I did around Boston. In fact, this was the first bike tour I did ever. It's safe to say that I had no idea what to expect. But the guys at AdvenTours were so nice and very helpful. They helped each of us find a bike that we were comfortable with, supplied us with water bottles and helmets, and were so excited about the tour themselves that I couldn't help but get excited too. The choose great locations to take us to in the city and gave interesting commentary on all the locations we stopped at. With about 20 people in our group they did a good job of keeping everyone together, offering directions, and making sure that everyone could keep up. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants a different way to experience Boston. I live and work in the city but I still got so much out of it! And my friend from Tennessee was definitely impressed with my hometown!

We had a blast. It was nice to see some sites up close that we just passed by on the trolleys. Much faster than a walking tour with more detail than a trolley tour. They are a top notch crew. Andrew led the tour with Mike working traffic at intersections and Leslie brought up the rear (also doubled as the group's photographer). We learned a lot, saw a lot and generally had a great time. It was our (wife & I) first time in Boston, did lots of tours & would highly recommend UrbanAdventours to anyone. We did pass by their competition while on the tour and were instantly glad we went with UA, safety first & brand new bikes.....hard to beat. Thanks again, Brian & Val from South Carolina

a great way to get out be active while on vacation. Also a more intimate encounter with the city than siting on a bus.

Great way to see Boston city neighborhoods

This is the best way to see the different areas of Boston and our tour guide (Ed) was friendly and knowledgeable. The ride itself was casual and relatively easy except for a brief uphill climb that was a little challanging. I was curious about riding on the busy city streets but I never felt that we were ever in any "dangerous" situations. I would defintely recommend this to anyone who wants to make a "green" trip around Boston's best sites.

Best way to see Boston!!

I have lived in Boston for 3 years and am constantly trying to show friends and family the City when they visit. Previously I've done duck tours, the museums, freedom trail tours, graveyard tours, and even tried to do my own tour with the family. Now it is all in one bike ride!! I had more fun on this tour than ever before and learned more about every area of the city in 2 1/2 hours than all my previous tours combined. Ed and all the guides went above and beyond to make sure we were safe, staying together, having fun, and seeing some of the best views in Boston. I recommend this tour for anyone, of any age, and any experience. You will see more of Boston than many who live here!

Good introduction to Boston

This was our first trip to Boston and did not really have too much time to research the city and explore, so Urban Adventours was a great way to see some of the sights in a short amount of time. Navigating Boston streets is not easy, so being on a bike allows you to cut through the traffic as well as avoid looking for parking which is also not that easy. Since the city is rich in history, having a guide allows you to understand why things are the way they are. The pace is very light which would allow most people to keep up and enjoy it. The only thing is that if you are not used to sitting on a bike seat for more than an hour expect to get a sore bum! It was quite enjoyable. The guides were very helpful and very friendly and extremely knowledgeable; a group of people who really enjoy what they do. This is not something that you can do in every city, so if the opportunity arises, it is definately more enjoyable than sitting on a bus.

We recently took the bike tour and loved it. I was a bit apprehensive about riding in traffic, but the guides definitely know what they're doing and are very skilled navigating around town. We have been to Boston several times and have never taken any type of tour, other than self-guided walking. This was a great way to see lots of neighborhoods in a short time. The next day we visited a couple of the areas we had seen on the bike tour. The guides are very entertaining and knowledgeable about Boston and really made this an enjoyable experience for us. We plan on doing the tour again in the future with our two kids. Highly recommend this!

Excellent way to see the beautiful city of Boston

My girlfriend and I were a little tentative as we had not biked in a while. We had no trouble keeping up even going up Beacon Hill!!! The pace of the tour was perfect with appropriately spaced and interesting stops. We saw and got great insights into parts of the city we may have never known about. Boston is very safe to bike through. Very friendly policemen even stopped traffic for us. Just as we were tired and ready to get off the bikes, the tour was ended. Absolutely a great way to start a visit to Boston!!!!
