A fun and educational time

The guides are well-informed, clever and gracious enough to answer even the most ridiculous questions about Boston (not to mention the best places to eat). This is the only way to see many of the city's highlights up close in a two hour span while also getting some exercise.

My husband and I were visiting from Chicago and wanted to do a bike tour that gave us a good overview of Boston. We were interested in learning the history, seeing the sights and various neighborhoods within the city. Our tour guide was very informative and explained the different stops in detail. We had a chance to see the beautiful parts of Boston, some of which we probably would have missed if we were to venture out on our own. The weather was great and it was a small group of 7 so you felt safe traveling together.

The bike tour started out at the Boston harbor and continued throughout the city. We got to see Boston University, historical landmarks (including Ben Franklin's house), Fenway Park, Boston Commons, etc. It was a wonderful tour with wonderful tour guides. A definite must when visiting Boston!

The best way to know Boston

If you are driving in the city, you probably realized that directions, even with GPS, can be pretty confusing. A U-turn on the freeway takes 10 miles and several minutes of precious time, specially when you don't have much to spare, like in our case. Besides that, parking is a nightmare. To bike through Boston was a great idea and something I highly recommend, even for those who don't exercise, like me. The tour can be modified depending on what the group is more interested in seeing (arts, history, sports, nature, etc.) Biking for almost 3 hours also allowed me to have extra bread during a well deserved dinner. :-) I really had a great time!

Great way to see the different sides of Boston!

I really enjoyed this tour of the city. The distance wasn't too far nor the roads too difficult to bike on. We took an adequate amount of breaks, which were good points for the guide to tell us about the area. The guide was very detailed, telling us various historical facts and about how some areas were being developed for a more modern Boston while preserving the history. It was great to see so much of the Boston area within such a short period of time. The biking definitely made things more convenient for getting around the area without the hassle of traffic. I would definitely recommend this tour to a friend.

The cycle tour is a great way to see Boston, especially the streets that are off the beaten track. Our guide, Garreth, was great fun and he gave us a mindful of information on the city with some fun facts thrown in.

I highly recommend people to go on this tour. Not only is it fun and unique, the tour guides have a great sense of humor, and have a great wealth of knowledge about the city. I used to work on the tourism business several years ago (in Boston) and therefore have had the opportunity to try out most of the tours around Boston and none have impressed me as much as the Boston City View Bicycle Tour. They cover many places that other tours do not cover and I learned a few things I didn't know about the city. It's great for locals, and for those who would like to make a nice impression on a date :) It's totally worth while!!!!

An out of town visitor and I had a great time on this tour! Neither of us are avid cyclists and our tour guide made us feel very comfortable. The employees were enthusiastic about their company and just seemed like overall kind people. I'd definitely recommend this tour for people who have seen bits of Boston and are looking for something a little different!

Beautiful Tour through an amazing city

My wife and i were up from Florida for the weekend. She wanted to go on a tour, and a friend had suggested we take a ducktour. After poking around on the internet for a bit I found this tour on a travel site. As a young, energetic couple, it seemed like a perfect fit! About halfway through, my wife pulls up next to me and says "we should probably do this every vacation", and I wholeheartedly agree. The weather in early august was sensational, and the tour guides were funny and educational. They were very easy to talk to and have entertaining stories and facts about the area. Great way to see the city without spending a couple hours on a bus!

We had never been to Boston and wanted a grand overview on our first day there. This tour was a great way to avoid sitting in a tour bus and instead ride around the city on a guided tour. Greg was our awesome tour guide who was knowledgeable in the city's history and current matters. The bike route was fabulous and was no problem for safety. Greg made sure our group stayed together and signaled for cross to stop for us when we crossed major streets. This was a terrific tour and a great way to get some exercise and see the city at the same time.
