Best way to see Boston. Covered tons of areas Fenway Park, Charles River Esplanade, North End, Downtown). It was a good preview of things I wanted to go back to and explore more. Was travelling on my own for business so it was a great way to experience Boston. Highly recommend it. The biking was a leisurely pace and not challenging.

A great way to see the city!!

I was very impressed with the bike tour. I took one in Paris, and loved that "by bike" is a great way to see a city. This tour did not disappoint!! There was a great selection of comfort bike sizes to choose from, and the organizers made sure that we were comfortable with our bikes before leaving the shop. We were also provided with water bottles to drink from while on the ride. The ride was an easy pace, and the times we were riding in traffic, our guide (Patrick) made sure we were all safe and together. I am an experienced rider, but my 14 year old was not. He did great! We made several stops, where Patrick would describe the sights in detail, and was able to answer our questions. Surprisingly, Boston seems to be a very bike friendly city, so I felt at ease riding around the city. It was amazing how much ground we covered! Don't do the Duck or Trolley Tours -- go green and go by bike!

We enjoyed the low keyed physical activity on very nice biking equipment. We appreciated the trivia and history shared at different stops. We were glad that we did this and would highly recommend this as another way to see Boston off the beaten path.

This bicycle tour of Boston was the highlight of our trip. The guides were friendly, knowledgeable and did a great job showing us the sights for nearly three hours. We highly recommend this tour to all teenagers and adults.

One of the best ways to tour Boston

We had a fun time on this tour. It is definately worth the money. You pretty much see all of Boston and it is much better than riding by the sites in a car. The tour guides are nice and they tell you lots of interesting things about the city. Make sure you are able to ride a bike for a while before you take the tour. The tour is about 4 hours and you ride the bike for long periods of time. Although you go at a good pace you still need to make sure you can ride that long. One thing I didn't like was the seats on the bike. After a couple of hours the seats really start to hurt your backside really bad. After the tour I had to sit down softly. But I definately recommend the tour!!!

Fantastic Way to See the City

We had a great time toodling through the city, seeing the sights, on bikes! You get a perspective on a bicycle that you just can't get on a tour bus, and you can cover far more ground than on foot. The tour guides were very personable and extremely knowlegeable on all the trivial facts of Boston. This is a nice easy ride with lots of rest stops. There are a couple hills, but it is mostly a nice flat ride.

Great Way to Tour Boston

I am a middle aged mom who did this tour with her three young adult children. Despite some initial concerns regarding my ability, after a few hundred yards my bike riding skills came back to me and it was smooth sailing. This from a lady who has not ridden a bike in over 25 years! The tour was delightful and a fun way to see Boston up close. We had interesting tour guides who added unique antedotes throughout our trip. I would absolutely recommend this tour! PS--You may want to wear dark or old shorts since one of our riders got bike grease on both inside legs of his khaki shorts.

Honestly, I had no desire to go on a bicycle tour, but my boyfriend talked me into it. I hadn't been on a bicycle in over 20 years. When we got to the bike shop I began to have second thoughts and really wanted to leave. I AM SO GLAD I STAYED. Garrett and Sam, two of our tour guides, were really helpful and completely put me at ease. They made sure that the bike was adjusted to my needs and went over the gear and braking instructions more than once and always with a smile. The tour was fabulous. I had so much fun. We made plenty of stops where our guides would give a brief description of where we were and its significance. Who knew molasses could kill? Though the tour took us through some heavy traffic areas, I always felt safe. The guides were constantly looking out for us and directing us. I saw many sites that I would not have seen otherwise. I highly recommend this tour. It is geared to all fitness levels. Trust me...I'm no Lance Armstrong. It is a really great way to see the city and get a little exercise.

My husband and I were looking for a great way to be introduced to Boston and I am so glad we came across this tour. Can't say enough about everyone at Urban Adventures - they were so nice, enthusiastic and made sure that the group felt comfortable and enjoyed the entire ride. You could tell that they enjoyed their jobs. We had a sunny day and it had been a while since I last rode a bike. We had decided on the Cityview Tour and the ride itself was about 12 miles around Boston - it certainly did not feel like it! It was a great way to get to know the different areas of the city so we could make our way back to those spots we were most interested in. The different tour guides shared some of their inside knowledge about the city which was great. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to get to know Boston especially if you are only there for a weekend like we were!

This tour was great! The tour guides led us through all parts of the city & we were able to get into the neighborhoods on our bikes. The guides were very knowledgeable about the various areas. We had lots of fun, it was probably the highlight of our trip to Boston/Cambridge.

Great Way to See the City
Fri, Aug 1, 08   10:00 AM sroscigno Female 40-49 Unspecified Family With Children
My 9- and 12-year old children and I enjoyed the ride, the sights and the stories. The guides were friendly and made sure everyone was happy with his/her bike. The pace was leisurely, with plenty of opportunities to stop, take photos, and hear about the city. My only two concerns: size and price. The tour group was large (19 riders with 3 guides) which made it difficult for us all to get through intersections. Sometime a guide would block traffic for all of us to get through, but when there wasn't someone blocking traffic, it wasn't clear whether we were expected to zip through or stop and risk holding everyone up. Maybe some more instruction on "how to ride in such a large group" would have helped. Two smaller groups with 2 guides each would have felt much safer. As for price, I can't help but wonder whether more families would be willing to take advantage of this great way to see the city if a discounted price was offered for children...or a AAA discount...or a GoBoston Card discount. Nevertheless, the bike tour was one of the best parts of our Boston visit!

The Best Way to See Boston!
Tue, Jul 29, 08   2:00 PM MaryonAllen Female 50-59 Domestic Tourist(s) Family With Children
I, my 12 yr old grandson and his buddy visited Boston for the first time this past week. Our main objective was the Red Sox game but we also wanted to see the city and its sights. In three hours, we covered about 12 miles through neighborhoods, parks, city streets, Beacon Hill, the Works! It was just about perfect. Our tour guide, Patrick, was knowledgeable, kind and tolerant. Our group was small and he manuvered us through Boston like the pro he is.
