The Best Way to See Boston!
Tue, Jul 29  2:00 PM MaryonAllen Female 50-59 Domestic Tourist(s) Family With Children
I, my 12 yr old grandson and his buddy visited Boston for the first time this past week. Our main objective was the Red Sox game but we also wanted to see the city and its sights. In three hours, we covered about 12 miles through neighborhoods, parks, city streets, Beacon Hill, the Works! It was just about perfect. Our tour guide, Patrick, was knowledgeable, kind and tolerant. Our group was small and he manuvered us through Boston like the pro he is.

Great way to get an overview of Boston!

This tour was a great way to spend our first day seeing Boston. Most of the ride was flat, and we stopped numerous times to discuss sites. I don't think I would have had the opportunity to see as many areas of Boston if we hadn't taken this ride. We did the duck tour the next day, and we saw many different areas, so it wasn't redundant. The tour guides were helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. I would recommend this for anyone who wants an active tour as opposed to passive.

A Great Way to See Boston
Tue, Jul 29  10:00 AM lglick Female 40-49 Domestic Tourist(s) Family Without Children
This is a great way to see many areas of Boston with a good explanation of the sights along the tour. Our tour lasted nearly 3 hours and was well worth the cost. The guides are entertaining and interesting. The online reservation process is easy. It' also very easy to take the T to the bicycle tour location. Initially, we were looking for a Segway tour but at the time there were none, so we decided to take a bicycle tour -- a wonderful alternative.

My husband and I took this tour in Boston on our honeymoon. We were only in town 3 days and with all there is to see in boston, the tour quickly covered a lot of it. We really enjoyed the experience. The guides were friendly, knowledgeble, and funny. The biking itself was a pretty leisurely pace, kids and older adults could keep up. All it all, I would highly recommend this tour!

Sincerely Enthusiastic Tour Guides

We (49 and 13 year old males) had an incredible time on the tour!! They ensured our bikes and helmets were in perfect condition, and provided frozen water that stayed cold the entire three hours for us to drink. Sam and Garrett led our tour and provided a wealth of fascinating knowledge about various neighborhoods throughout the greater Boston/Brookline area. They were sincerely enthusiastic, which set the tone for a really fun tour. Stopping at many venues allowed all to rest for a minute while learning facts about the venue. The ride was easy, seemingly mostly flat and/or downhill with very little uphill pedaling necessary. Highly recommend this tour as a way to get to know Boston from very knowledgeable and enthusiastic residents.

A must-do while in Boston!

We are so glad we took this tour of Boston. We had never been there before and wanted to see as much of it as we could. We wish we had done this as one of the first things because afterward, we began to recognize different sites around the city. The staff was great...our tour guide was EXCELLENT. He set a perfect pace and was very knowledgeable about Boston. He provided an entertaining tour. The guide who brought up the rear was incredibly helpful in stopping traffic so we could all get through. I would highly recommend this for just about anyone over the age of 10 or so. The biking was not difficult at all...only one hill! Thanks Urban Adventours!

Well Worth It!

We took the bicycle tour this past weekend. We thought it was a wonderful way to see the city. As locals, we were also pleased to learn things we hadn't known and to see some "behind the scenes" aspects of the city. The tour was well organized and our guide, Ed was great! We will definitely be recommending this tour to locals and our friends from out of town as well. It was well worth the cost. Thank you!

Thoroughly Enjoyed the Ride!

We are a family of 4, our children are ages 14 and 9. We completely enjoyed the ride through Boston. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the sites, history and architecture of the city. We would highly recommend this tour for anyone! We rode on a Sunday morning, so there was minimal traffic on the city streets which was nice for the kids who are not used to ride a bike on city streets.

Best part of Trip

The City View bike tour was by far the best part of our trip to Boston. We wanted to get to see different parts of the city, but cringed at the idea of riding around on one of those Duck Tour busses. The tour guide (Ed) was extremely knowledgable about the city and took us to places little-known by tourists. Definiteily worth every single penny. We will be participating in other tours offered by Urban Adventours on our next visit for sure

We took our two teenagers on the Boston tour-everyone loved it! It was a favorite for all of us! The guide was great, as was the pace. I recommend this for every first timer to Boston.

This was a great way to see the major neighborhoods of the city as well as some of the most important sites. The staff was friendly and helpful, and our tour guide knew his material well. I wouldn't recommend this bike tour for families with childeren under 12 or 13 as it is a decent workout.

Absolutely Great

I'm a reasonably healthy 52 year-old father from Kentucky with 16 year-old son I was introducing to Boston. He wasn't getting very engaged in the city. Plus, it had rained heavily day before, messing up our vacation. Also meant lots of people rescheduled to our 2-5 p.m. tour the following day (total 23). [I wish the tour had been smaller so we could have heard more from the leader, but that was my only knock on this.] Adventours had three guides keeping watch on us and holding traffic at intersections. It was completely safe (I hadn't been on a bike for 20 years?), not too strenuous (there was a 10 year-old girl and her 60+ grandmother, and they did fine), and a fantastic way to get around a reasonably compact city and see lots of neighborhoods and landmarks, and learn a little about architecture, history, etc. I could not have been more pleased. Best $100 we spent on the whole vacation.
