I will be doing this again real soon!

My husband loves sailboating so I arranged Father's Day around this activity. Our two teen girls loved it and my husband was in heaven. I took the most incredible pictures as we sailed around alkatraz, under the Golden Gate Bridge, and the city of San Fransico. It was an awe experience. The next time I go, I won't be taking picture but will enjoy the sail in itself. I really want to do the sunset sail. I highly recommend doing this.

FANTASTIC cruise!

Live in the East Bay and frequent the City for special occasions and to entertain out-of-towners. Have taken the tourist "fleet" boats many times. They don't come close to this experience!!! Very friendly and helpful crew, SPOTLESS and meticulously maintained boat, free loaner (quality) jackets if you forgot yours or are chilly, spotless "heads" (sea-talk for bathrooms) - even a very reasonably priced snack bar with decent wine, beer and snacks. Unlike the "big" boats (Red & White or Blue & Gold Fleets) that run on noisy diesel engines, these Cats only run their engines a few minutes (and quietly at that) until their out of the harbor. Once the sails are raised and they billow out after catching the breeze (dramatic!), the engines go off and all you hear is the water against the hull. And, when you stand up top, you're close to the water so you get a real feel for sailing. There are even "nets" up front that you can lay on for a "total" sailing experience. The route that the Captain took was perfect - over to Angel Island, then over by Sausalito's harbor, continuing to the Western side of the Golden Gate - providing spectacular views of the bridge. Although windy and a little choppy, the size of the boat (big) and double hull of the Catamaran provided for a very smooth ride. Lots of room "up top" and a roomy cabin with tables for those that don't want to (or can't) stand ... or if they get chilly. HIGHLY recommended!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ***** FIVE STARS *****

Great time on the bay

We had a great time on the Adventure Cat tour! The staff was friendly and outgoing, willing to answer any questions asked of them. The cruise itself was very nice, including good views of the Pier 39 sea lions, Alcatraz, and the Golden Gate Bridge. There were only about 20 people on board, which kept it very relaxing and low key. We enjoyed being able to buy chips and drinks (a very decent beer selection, including Lagunitas). My only recommendations would be to include a couple more snack options and to give a little bit of information about the area as the focus of the tour shifts. Overall, I would recommend!

I enjoy sailing and had never sailed in SF before. This was a smart choice since I would not be able to charter a boat. You can be in the wind and wave on the foredeck or take a break and sit in the cabin. On my trip, there was plenty of room to move around and enjoy the tour while some one else minds the sail trim. I genuinely had a fun time.

Highly recommend this San Francisco Bay Cruise!

There is no better way to spend time on SF Bay than on the Adventure Cat. There is no feeling comparable to when the engines are turned off and the wind carries you across the bay in silence, except for the sound of the water passing against the hull. Going under the Golden Gate is awesome, and there is nothing like seeing the City's skyline from the water! The captain handled the boat expertly, making the ride comfortable for all. We took the afternoon cruise to celebrate a friend's birthday, and have taken this cruise several times before. We will definitely do it again. The boat is beautiful, the crew great, and it's a great price/value. Take a ride on the Adventure Cat when you're in the City!

ticket purchase

My healthy husband was rushed to California Pacific Medical Center so we were unable to take the cruise and the tickets are not refundable. We were happily anticipating the cruise but I would recommend to NOT pre purchase the tickets in lieu of an unexpected event preventing it.

Beautiful Time on the SF Bay!

The sail around Alcatraz toward Sausalito was windy but fun. The fog was holding just at the Golden Gate so when we sailed from Sausalito toward the bridge we went from sun to overcast. This trip was a great time on a very comfortable catamaran. They had extra jackets available in case one got too cold on the sail and the available bar with refreshments was utilized by many of the passengers. I recommend it highly.

Best outing ever!

Our company asked me to put together an outing for our office to celebrate our 10th Business Anniversary. I chose an hour and a half catamaran bay cruise with Adventure Cat Sailing Charters. It was well within our price range. In fact I was really pleased with the group discount which made it even easier to choose. Everyone at Adventure Cat was wonderful in their customer service from the office staff who helped when I called to add one more person to our group at the last minute to the Skipper and his crew on the day of the sailing. The boat was beautiful, well maintained and comfortable. It was so much more relaxing than the noisy charter boats I been on in the past. Just the wind and the waves. Those who wanted a little more adventure could stay topside and those who wanted a little less could enjoy the cruise from below. Either way was really comfortable. The crew pointed out some points of interest along the way but were not chattering the entire trip. We saw some harbor dolphins who swam with us for a bit. We had a really wonderful time and will absolutely choose Adventure Cat again for our next outing.
