| My wife and I have been on Adventure Cat several times now (and they recognize me every time, probably because I bother them so much about sailing stuff!), and we will continue sailing with them. Why? They love to sail, period! Once I showed up with a friend and no reservations on a cold, cloudy day. I asked how many passengers they needed to go out sailing, and they responded "One -- we love to sail!". (That was a great day on the Bay as well, maybe even because of the weather.) Another time we encountered a major sailboat race involving many different classes of boats, from individual ones up to huge high-tech behemoths with what looked like a crew of 20 or so. And we were sailing right in the middle of them -- way seriously cool!
Oh, don't be worried if you are a bit apprehensive of high-performance sailing, because Adventure Cat is a catamaran, meaning it sails completely level, without heeling. Sure it gets a bit exciting some times, simply because that's the nature of sailing, but you never feel unsafe. Nor uncomfortable, since there is ample room inside out of the weather, and they even provide parkas! And did I mention the great bar they have, with amazingly reasonable prices?
Anyway, I sound like a shill, but I'm not. Just a very satisfied customer who loves being on a good sailboat as much as these guys enjoy sailing one. Try it -- you'll love it!

| We were a group of 7, most of us are local, but we had some family in town and wanted to show them something different. It was a gorgeous day and everyone in our group thoroughly enjoyed themselves. One and a half hours is just the right amount of time and the views of the city, Alcatraz, Marin and the bridge from the catamaran were incredible. There are not too many people on the boat, so it feels intimate. I'd do it again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting San Francisco. |

| Awesome Music
Unique adventure, not like a ship tour
Comfortable environment and cool staff
The route was beautiful
The amount of time spent on the tour was just the right amount: 1 hr too short, 2 hrs maybe too long... 1.5 hrs was just right!

| My husband and I enjoyed the bay cruise. The 1 1/2 hours is the perfect amount of time to relax and enjoy the scenery. The boat was very clean and gave every one enough space to walk around and take pictures. If you do not have the time to get out to Alcatraz you at least have a close look at the buildings on the island from the boat. |

| So much better that the other bay cruises I've done!! This is a wind powered boat, so there wasn't the engine noises. It was so quiet and restful. We loved hearing the sound of the wind on the sails. It was fantastic to feel the gentle rocking of the surf and the feel the breeze. And it was totally cool to see the water unter the cat! There is a mesh net trampoline between the pontoons where you can sit or lay. It's feels very safe and secure, and adds much to the trip.
Also, they offer to let passengers steer the boat, which is fantastic. I was amazed at how easy it was & how sensitive the wheel/rudder are. Just a gentle movement to the right or left changes the direction. This bay cruise was the highlight of my year (so far anyway :)
We're definitely coming back. When family or friends come from out of state, this will be one of the top things on our list of "to do's". |

| Our group of 5 included an 89 yr. old woman, our mother, who was celebrating her birthday and her two adult daughters and spouses. We took the trip from Pier 39 in SF. The crew was very helpful in getting my mother aboard the vessel in her wheelchair. The cabin area was very appropriate for a wheelchair person, able to move around to enjoy the sights.
I had telephoned in advance to check wheelchair access and the company was very helpful and accurate in answering my questions.
We enjoyed the journey--thought we were disappointed by the amount of time we were under power rather than sail. The beauty of this trip is to sail quietly around the bay--turn off the engine!
We have recommended this trip to friends. |

| Sail was very good. Crew was friendly. Only reason not enthusiastically recommended is dependency on weather. If sail is cancelled, no refund is offered, only future use. This is not a good option if you are on the last day of vacation. |
