This was a great trip! We had great weather, exceptional staff, and the price was amazing!
However, all info on the trip indicated that the boat leaves promptly at 1 with NO exceptions. But, this was not the case. A group was 15-20 min late and the boat dud not take off, which was a bummer for the rest of us who left early to navigate sf weekend traffic.
The boat did go an extra 10 minutes, but we were still cut short 5-10 min because of the ridiculous group.
Despite that, the trip was good and amazing considering the price. |

Best way to sail the Bay without doing it yourself

I'm a 54-year old expert windsurfer and grew up sailing. I've windsurfed regularly on the Bay since 1990, and used to crew on ocean racers on the Bay in the late 70s-early 80s. My folks visited last weekend and hadn't sailed on the Bay since they had their Islander 36 up here from San Diego about 15 years ago. Sailing the Bay back then shook them up, as they weren't used to the 25-knot winds and rough water. Sailing on the AdventureCat was a great way to sail the Bay with a very smooth, fast, and very well crewed ride. We also had a great day: sunny with a steady 20-25 knots, nice swells outside the GG bridge, and a great sail all around. This was my 2nd time on the AdventureCat. I highly recommend it to sailors and non-sailors. This is the only way I ever sail the Bay other than on my own. The skipper and crew are very professional and make handling this large cat look remarkably easy. |

This was a wonderful way to see the Bay. The boat was large enough to accommodate the 30 or so passengers. The one drawback for us was quite simply Mother Nature. It was unusually cold and extremely windy. There is an enclosed area that you can retreat to, but the windows are foggy/hazy and a bit hard to see out of. We've lived in San Francisco and have gone on different tours. We all felt this was well worth the price and a great way for kids to enjoy the Bay. However, it is best enjoyed when the weather is cooperating, which is something that can't always be predicted. |

I have a good experience riding on Adventure Cat 2. The crew gave us a warm welcome plus they keep all the key points short. During the trip the captain slows down when passing by the attraction points (Golden gate bridge and Alcatraz island), so we can take some good shots. The price is very nice for this 1.5 full hours trip. |

My granddaughter (15) has been wanting to go out on a boat, so I took my daughter and her out on your boat and it was great. No rain, a little rough, and I think my daughter had the best time. She stayed out in the weather the whole time and just loved it. Of course I did too, just watching the waves, and landscape go by. Very relaxing when you are on the water. I would very much recommend this trip to anyone young or old. |

We got there a little early and while we waited, we got to watch the sea lions right next to the gate and saw how crowded the other tour boats were. The ride on the catamaran seemed so quiet and smooth compared to the other boats. Maybe because we went on a weekday, but our boat only had a total of 7 guests, including us. We would recommended it to anyone else visiting. Definitely enjoyable and memorable. |
