spectacular views from the water of the city as well as all the bay sights. Unusual and memorable views of the GG bridge from underneath. Best way to see the bridge. When under sail, only the wind and water can be heard. Sunny day and cool when we went, bring a jacket. Top 10 things to do in the city.

| I'd recommned the Adventure Cat to anyone- locals or tourists, young or old, families or couples.
We booked the trip ahead of time and had no problems finding the boat at the pier. The boat accomadates about 90, but we were lucky to sail with a small group of around 20. On the boat, there's plenty of space to sit or stand outside. Or, if you prefer, you can enjoy the views from the inside cabin. The captain and two crew members were very friendly.
The trip lasts an hour and a half. You'll sail around Alcatraz, along the coast, and under the Golden Gate Bridge. The views are outstanding and there are great picture opportunities.
Keep in mind that it will get cold and windy! You're on a boat in San Francisco, not Miami. There are extra jackets onboard for guests use, but I recommend you bring a jacket with a hood to block the wind.
In the cabin there's a small snack bar that serves soda, chips, and has a decent selection of beers.
We sailed by several of the giant Blue and Gold fleet ships, packed with hoards of tourists. The Adventure Cat is a much better value and provides a more intimate, local experience. |

This is our second sailing experience on Adventure Cat. In 2003 we went for a Sunset Cruise and this year we opted to sail the Bay in the afternoon. We would strongly recommend both as highlights to a trip to San Francisco. The crew is friendly and professional. The experience is breathtaking, offering views of the city, Alcatraz, Sausalito and the Golden Gate Bridge. The entertainment value for the money is tremendous. We will certainly sail the Bay on Adventure Cat every time we visit San Francisco, which is at least once a year. Wear a windbreaker and long pants if you tend to chill...it is windy and can get cold, but it is well worth it!

we chose thise cruise to get a more interesting view of the bay than we would be going with a bigger ship. This boat is a catamaran with a semi-protected cabin and lots of space to walk around. I think there is a capacity of about 35 people or so versus the 100+ that you might see on other boats. We had some concern with bringing our 3 year old on with us, but they have floor-to-railing netting all arounds the ship. It was not a problem for us to bring on our son and the captain let him drive the boat for a bit while we were out in open water. We had a great time talking with other people on the boat and enjoying the bay. The sailing we did went around Alcatraz, through the Golden Gate and then back to SF. We sailed almost the entire time - the engine was only used in the marina area. There were 2 crew members on board that were pretty laid back. They don't give a narative about the area that you might get on other boats, but there is some information posted around the boat about history of Golden Gate, etc. We recemmond this trip!

Enjoyed going out on that Cat immensely, It was a lot of fun. We saw some exquiste views of the Golden Gate bridge and the bay. The sailboat was spacious and not packed full of people, it almost felt like it was just my boyfriend and I on the boat. It was definitely adventurous. I only wished we coulld have stayed out a little bit longer and maybe gone out past the Golden Gate Bridge. But other than that loved it and it was one of the best things we did out there in San Fran!

This bay tour is awesome. Could of used some narrative and it's extremely cold even though it was September. I couldn't imagine going on it in the winter.

We visit SFO frequently as our daughter lives and works in the city - this is the first time we noticed this trip was available - it was beautiful warm weather and a great cruise around the bay, under the bridge and back - would highly recommend it to others - the price is perfect and made our weekend exceptional -

Great experience for us and especially our kids. Our kids enjoyed the trampoline so much and were so excited to see the "Golden Gate Bridge" in a different angle. We wil definitely do it again when we come to San Francisco. Thank you so much for the helpful and polite staff.

It was nice, and romantic, even though it was during the day. the extra jackets were awesome, or we would have frozen our butts off! Just enough water to make it adventurous, but not too much, where you were soaked and miserable.
