great way to not spend a ton of money to enjoy the bay on a good weather day, its not too quick or too long and is worth wading through throngs of tourists at pier 39.

Enjoyable Sail on Adventure Cat

We had a very good experience. Boat had light load on our trip so plenty of room for everyone including hyper-active grandkids. Crew sociable and interacted with customers. Due to light load they permitted grandkids to take the helm for part of the trip.

Everything about this boat ride rocked: the crew, the views, the amount of time, the indoor/outdoor flexibility... you should use AdventureCat. Period.

We scheduled a 1 p.m. Saturday sail, the first of the season for this company. Arriving breathless just when the boat was supposed to launch, we found Captain Hans and his crew of three waiting with no other passengers. He asked me somewhat sheepishly if we'd might be interested in the 3 p.m. sail instead. But since we had already made a prior commitment for that time, we said we could only make it now. At that point he revealed that we were to be the only passengers. "Oh dear, don't sail just for us!" we said, glancing at a catamaran that can accommodate 99 passengers. "No, that's all right," he insisted with surprising good humor. "You paid for it, you get it." Captain Hans certainly looked the part of an old salt. With a white mane and full beard, he'd earned the role, having sailed catamarans for the past nineteen years on San Francisco Bay. Until that time it had been an overcast day with light rain, but when we launched it began to clear, and by the time we sailed under the Golden Gate the sky was a sparkling blue. Captain Hans and his crew were all friendly and accommodating. It was an altogether memorable experience. Hard to say how it would be with a hundred fellow passengers, but on this midday honeymoon cruise it was a delight. We would highly recommend both the cruise and the crew to any and all who follow.

Cruise was great, it was fun. Kids enjoyed a lot. We were late by 10 min, but they waited for us and that really impressed us. Keep it up!!!

Perfect day of wind and fun

The nine of us had a great time on the Adventure Cat. The water was flat and the wind fair. The boat is big enough to hold the crowd without crowding, and each of us had plenty of space, whether that was at the rail, at the mast , or on the trampoline.

It pretty much sums up this cruise. The nets up front on this catamaran (nah, funamaran) are about as adventurous as a cruise can get

I have been on the other cruise, the Blue and Red I think and it was crowded and not nearly as nice as this catamaran. There is no noise from the MOTOR AND THE SAIL WAS JUST DREAMY. WE GOT CLOSE TO SHORE OF A SMALL ISLAND and loved this tour. No shouted facts just a wonderful soothing ride. The boat man willingly answered questions and was so low key and nice he made the trip perfect. We went out on October 29th 2009 and it just required a light jacket. If you needed more cover, they had it on the boat. So great with that beautiful sail overhead. My 10 year old grandson thought it was the best part of our trip and so did I.
