Bay Sail on San Francisco Bay

Surprised my wife with this Bay sail, she loved it. It was a perfect day, the Captain and crew were great. We could have taken advantage of the bar (inside) but, didn't need it. We went out around Alcatraz, then past Angel Island, over close to Sausalito, then under the Golden Gate Bridge and back. People out front got sprayed a little when we hit a couple of small waves. We stayed totally dry on deck near the back corner railing. Thanks Adventure Cat!

We did the Bay cruise on the Cat Adventure on Sunday, Sept. 5, 2010; we were able to book it last minute on line with no problem. Disappointed because there were no discounts offered (Senior Citizen); I was with my sisters and my mother. We were really looking forward to this sail on our last full day in San Francisco. We got there way plenty of time as the confirmation said should be at the pier 30 mins. before departure. We got there early; there was one young couple waiting by the entrance to the pier dock; as the other sail (1pm) was arriving soon. There was no line; people were scattered all over from side to side; people were rude (esp. foreigners-particularly the French) pushing to get through once the gate to the dock was opened...the employee who was in charge had no organization whatsoever. (young blonde, wearing TOM boat shoes-red). I think if people pay this much for a catamaran sail; it should be a pleasant experience from the very beginning (from standing in line) to the end (getting off at the pier). We were not at all pleased with the organization from the young lady; if she gets paid for doing this, she is doing a horrible job.

My sister was visiting from Boston and I wanted to show her a fun and different view of the Bay. For that reason, I chose the AdventureCat catamaran. The ship had plenty of space, inside and out. We sat outside for the whole trip, which was a bit cold at times, but well worth it. The ship takes you around Alcatraz, over to Sausalito then under the Golden Gate Bridge. The views of the city from the Bay were beautiful and being out on the water was just a blast. Due to the cool winds, I would definitely recommend bringing a warm layer, although, the ship has jackets that people can borrow in varying sizes. Also, for those who want something to drink/eat, the ship had hot and cold drinks as well as snack for purchase. I 100% recommend this tour if you want something more exciting and unique than the standard boat tour.

My first time is a sailboat and out in the San Francisco bay even though I've lived here for about 6 years now. Decided to take my girlfriend out for her birthday along with her sister and best friend. Definitely a must for anyone. A consistent reminder of how blessed I am to live in such a beautiful place.

A perfect trip for a family. My kids had so much fun. Even my 4 year old loved the experience. Great for all ages!

We've been on the adventurecat 5 times now and it never gets old. Amazing way to see SF, Alcatraz, golden gate, etc. on our last ride we saw several dolphins, it was awesome! It is a truly great value and I recommend it to all my friends. It can get cold but they have tons of jackets on the boat, they think of everything. Highly recommend!

This was my third time on Adventure Cat. Frustrating to leave the dock late (1:10pm) The crew seemed burned out on tourist. I feel for them, however, the vibes were not consistent with my other two experiences. For now I will no longer tell everyone about Adventure Cat.

Our first Adventurecat cruise was a Christmas gift. This second trip was for my South Carolina relatives' highlight of San Francisco. The crew was friendly and helpful, the views courtesy of Mother Nature, and the memory-making experience worth repeating. We highly recommend Adventurecat for anyone who wants to see San Francisco from the best seat in the Bay.

The people that run this excursion were very friendly and my family loved the beautiful trip on the Bay! We hope to return soon with other friends!

We enjoyed this sailing trip out on San Francisco Bay and under the Golden Gate Bridge. Sailing past Alcatraz was great to see. The cool breezes on the bay was minimized by the warm jackets the Adventure Cat provided.
