Rating: 5 One of the Highlights of San Francisco

This is our second sailing experience on Adventure Cat. In 2003 we went for a Sunset Cruise and this year we opted to sail the Bay in the afternoon. We would strongly recommend both as highlights to a trip to San Francisco. The crew is friendly and professional. The experience is breathtaking, offering views of the city, Alcatraz, Sausalito and the Golden Gate Bridge. The entertainment value for the money is tremendous. We will certainly sail the Bay on Adventure Cat every time we visit San Francisco, which is at least once a year. Wear a windbreaker and long pants if you tend to chill...it is windy and can get cold, but it is well worth it!
Rating: 4 Great tour!

we chose thise cruise to get a more interesting view of the bay than we would be going with a bigger ship. This boat is a catamaran with a semi-protected cabin and lots of space to walk around. I think there is a capacity of about 35 people or so versus the 100+ that you might see on other boats. We had some concern with bringing our 3 year old on with us, but they have floor-to-railing netting all arounds the ship. It was not a problem for us to bring on our son and the captain let him drive the boat for a bit while we were out in open water. We had a great time talking with other people on the boat and enjoying the bay. The sailing we did went around Alcatraz, through the Golden Gate and then back to SF. We sailed almost the entire time - the engine was only used in the marina area. There were 2 crew members on board that were pretty laid back. They don't give a narative about the area that you might get on other boats, but there is some information posted around the boat about history of Golden Gate, etc. We recemmond this trip!

My sister was in town visiting from Chicago so we booked the 1pm cruise - it was fantastic! Super friendly crew, fantastic cruise around the bay - loved the wind in our face and no petrol fumes! Some people need to get a grip - you're on a boat - yes, you might get a bit wet! The crew warned everyone that standing up in front would result in getting wet - heed their warning folks! The crew also provided jackets for those who came unprepared - I recommend dressing in layers - a tee shirt, then a long-sleeve fleece, and finally a water / wind resistant jacket or wind-breaker. We wore that and were very comfortable. Obviously long pants are a good idea - it gets really windy out on the water. This trip is marvelous - and a bargain at $25 bucks! Lastly, try to remember that the captain has no control over the weather - seriously, we heard people complaining about the fog - these people need to get real! I highly recommend this trip - it's well worth every penny and will probably be the most memorable thing to do in San Francisco!
Rating: 5 Worth every single penny you put into this.

There are other ways to cruise around the SF bay - the blue fleet or the gold fleet - but a ride on the adventure cat is different and better for several reasons. First, its not as crowded as the other ones; second, you are much closer to the water since the adventure cat is a sail boat and sits very low on the water. The captain - Hans - lets you roam around his boat and you can even walk across the net that stretches between the two hulls of the boat. Directly beneath the net is the bay water. I recently took my brother and his wife on this ride and they enjoyed it every bit.
Rating: 5 That was a rockin sail boat ride!

Enjoyed going out on that Cat immensely, It was a lot of fun. We saw some exquiste views of the Golden Gate bridge and the bay. The sailboat was spacious and not packed full of people, it almost felt like it was just my boyfriend and I on the boat. It was definitely adventurous. I only wished we coulld have stayed out a little bit longer and maybe gone out past the Golden Gate Bridge. But other than that loved it and it was one of the best things we did out there in San Fran!
Rating: 4 Very Fun & Scenic

This bay tour is awesome. Could of used some narrative and it's extremely cold even though it was September. I couldn't imagine going on it in the winter.
