Wrong day - right cruise.

Cruise would have been great had I not picked the coldest day of San Fran's summer to take the cruise. So check your weather report, the water was so choppy that we really could not stand outside. When we did get out toward the sunset, it was really nice and I'll try it again because for the price it was worth the trip.

It was barely OK for the Money!!!

I had great expectations with the sunset cruise but it was a barely "ok" cruise!!! The adventure cat was clean, spacious in that regards, had good hors d'oeuvre, wine and beer but for a ride that's not even FREE for children under 7 was overall very lame. This was supposed to be a SUNSET cruise, and the area was soo densely covered with fog that they should have rescheduled.....but they went ahead...NOT a ray of sun did we manage to see. They took was past Alcatraz, under the Golden gate bridge but the crew would not tell us where we were until we asked them. We were completely muddled in the fog. For this kind of cruise, you can pay a lot less and still manage to get much more out of your money. Weather is a major factor in SF....no doubt, but $47 for adults and children (even a 3 year old) this was an ABSOLUTE waste! I do not know about the DAY cruises but the evening cruise was bad. Sorry. Very Pricey for the service provided.

I loved my catamaran cruise.

The skipper, first mate, food service, and cruise photo opportunities were wonderful. The sunset sailing experience was the highlight of my five days in San Francisco. Because of the hundred California wildfires and the smoke-filled air, the sailing excursion was my only opportunity to see the entire Golden Gate Bridge, as well as Alcatraz.

Cold but exciting

The views were spectacular! Alcatraz, Sausilito, under the Golden Gate Bridge were the main highlights, just to name a few. The only thing was that the fog rolled in and it was pretty cold.

FUN FUN FUN - an absolute "must do!" in SF

This was by far one of my favorite outings while visiting my daughter in San Francisco. The crew was great, the food was good and the views were fantastic. The catamaran allowed you the option of being inside or out - and going back and forth as suited you. The feeling of actually sailing was quite liberating and relaxing. I even took advantage of hanging out on the cargo nets when the water wasn't rough. I took several other trips where we were crammed onto ferries so having a small group on the catamaran was much more enjoyable. If you only get tickets for one thing while in San Francisco, this sunset cruise would get my enthusiastic vote. P.S. while planning my family's trip, i read all of the glowing reviews of this cruise before booking and now i add my kudos as well! The five-star rating is well-deserved!!!!!

The staff is really sympathic, and sailing the bay in a catamaran was a great experience... even if the sunset was a little bit hidden by the fog! Anyway the buffet and drink made this tour very enjoyable. I recommend it to anybody, that is worth the price! PS: do not forgot to bring a warm jacket if you want to enjoy being outside on the catamaran's deck!

If you hvve a couple of hours to be on the bay, this is the trip for you. It is reasonably priced and you get snacks and two cocktails. There are a few seats outside the bar, and a trampoline on which to sit, which is exciting. The boat moves quote rapidly under wind power, creating a quiet atmosphere that allows you to hear the waves lapping against the boat. The crew was friendly and did what they needed to do. Leave the kids at home for this one! Very romantic!

Great Views, Nice Sailing, Great Time

We loved this trip and thought it was a great way to finish a day in SF. We will go again and take our out-ot-town visitors with us. There was no narration on the trip which is fine for the locals or Americans that knkow the area. But if you had foreign guests, then another option might be better. But for us, this was great. It was colder than we expected. But they had jackets we could borrow. Nice refreshments too.

Amazing views with an amazing crew

The trip exceeded my expectations. The crew was so nice and helpful- one guy even drew a diagram to answer a sailing question. The food was nice and the wine pours were very generous. The views were amazing and for once fog was NOT an issue. It would have been nice to know which islands we were passing though. The music and ambiance was great and the other people on the boat were very nice. If you are prone to motion sickness you will definitely need to prepare for this. If I hadn't taken dramamine, I would have been in serious trouble. You definitely need to bring a jacket for the wind and maybe the spray of the bay.

Fun and Romantic

My Fiance were on a road trip that landed us in San Francisco. The AdventureCat Sunset Cruise was all I expected it to be. The cruise was relaxing, fun, not crowded (I don't like big crowds) and very romantic. We had opportunities to take great shots of the sunset, the fog rolling in over the Golden Gate Bridge. We also met great people from all over on vacation and the crew was funny and helpful. The appetizers were good and the bar was great. Any bar that serves hot chocolate is great with me. Definetly bring a sweater, it gets quite chilly out there and you might get a bit wet. We would definetly do this tour again.
