| My brother and I enjoyed this trip so much more than a standard bay cruise. It was a sailboat, pontoon, small and intimate and also served delicious appetizers and wine. What more could you ask? The scenery was glorious and we passed Alcatraz and under the Golden Gate returning at sundown to the lights of San Francisco. A definite must to anyone coming. LOVED IT !!!! |

| Our family has very little experience with sailing or being on the ocean, but Adventure Cat made this an easy and fun way to explore the water. We thoroughly enjoyed the magnificent views from the boat and the delicious hors d’oeuvres that were provided. The rest of the group in the tour were very friendly. We had time to visit but also had time to ourselves on the boat just enjoying the end of the day with a glorious sunset. Highly recommend taking time to explore the Pier 39 shops afterward and have a late dinner at Louis Italian restaurant. |

| The adventure cat was great. I did find out later that we ordered 6 tickets and I was told that my order gve me a free cruise. Could I have purchased 5 tickets and then get a complimentary ticket? The complimentary ticket is nice, but not if you are from out of town. |

| The sunset sail was a memorable way to experience the Bay area sights...just make yourself comfortable enough to enjoy it. We were there on a sunny Saturday afternoon & almost froze, even with a coat & pashmina shawl. My husband commented that he needed a coozie & gloves to keep his hands warm enough to hold a drink. A hood or hat would have also helped. Coats are also available on board. One other thing to keep in mind is weather. Some days are so foggy, you can't see anything. If you have your heart set on this outing, schedule it at beginning of your trip in case it is cancelled due to weather. I understood when I booked it that it was non-refundable if I cancelled. But I did not realize that if there were a cancellation due to weather, I could only be issued credit for a later tour. All in all, very professional, courteous crew. Much more intimate than the other sunset cruises offered by other companies. |

| Very fun ride. Can get a little cold so dress in layers. Nice snacks and drinks were available on the boat. This is a very smooth ride. The catamaran cuts right through the water. The boat also has a sheltered area so you can escape from the wind if desired. I would definately do this again and highly recommend it. The captain and staff were very nice and personable. |

| Had a wonderful time. If you are looking for high adventure skip this trip. The catamaran will not get a pontoon out of the water because of insurance problems and spilling of drinks I am sure but if you want to go out on the water and have a wonderful relaxed time this is the trip for you. I only wish it could have lasted longer |

| My wife and I had our cruise September 20. The crew was there in a timely manner, were very helpful and friendly, and made us feel welcome. LIght appetizers were tasty and available as we got on the ship. There were roughly 20-30 people on our cruise.
The trip itself is pretty and goes by Alcatraz and under the Golden Gate bridge. Great picture taking opportunities. 2 drinks per person were included and served happily by the crew. The crew was helpful as we went along, and I noticed a few people asked to go up and chat with the captain in the steering area.
The only thing to remind everyone is that a sunset cruise at this time of year (who knows, maybe most the year) is going to be cold and probably include a lot of fog. The crew is completely ready for this, and had heavy jackets available for everyone who was not bundled up well. The fog can also wipe out any true sunset, but it was still a very scenic trip and romantic for a couple who wants to enjoy the trip. |

| I found the Adventure Cat cruise after the evening Alcatraz tour had filled up. I am so glad that it worked out this way. The cruise on the Adventure Cat greatly exceeded what I had hoped for. It was relaxing, fun and different from the ferry that I would have been on had the Alcatraz tour been available.
The Cat wasn't too crowded. I was able to move from the back cabin to the front area and experience what sailing on the Bay was like.
Even though the Cat is relatively small, it was extremely stable on the water. I experienced more rolling on the water during the ferry ride to Alcatraz earlier in the day than I did during the night cruise.
I highly recommend this for anyone that is looking for an alternative to the traditional ferry rides to tour the Bay.
I will be booking another cruise when I return to San Francisco. |
