| A Golden Gate sunset cruise had been recommended to us by friends, but there was more than one to choose from. I had seen the large "mini-cruise" boats that look nice, but I wanted something a little different, something closer to the intensity of being near the water and nature. The CAT Cruise was the answer. Its a reasonably priced catamaran sailing cruise that takes you out into the bay, around Alcatraz island (what a place!) and under the Golden Gate bridge. The cruise was easy to find on Fishermans Wharf. The Captain and the small staff were friendly and accomodating. Feeling the wind in our faces and hearing the water rush under our feet an amazing experience. Seeing the San Francisco skyline from the perspective of the bay was one of the highlights of our trip.
Drinks (great choices of beer!) and hor'derves were provided in the spacious cabin. Cameras and picture taking are encouraged. Dress WARMLY. It may be 80 degrees inland, but the temperature drops dramatically in the sailing breezes at sunset.
I highly recommend the CAT cruise as part of any trek to Fishermans Wharf and SF. Have fun! |

| Nice catamaran and nice sail around the bay. Due to thick fog we couldn't see more of the Golden Gate then the bottom part. For the same reason we didn't see any sunset. The day thereafter (mid July) we made a day trip to the Golden Gate bridge and had fantastic weather (sunny) and visibility. Not clear to me whether sunset conditions are better on other days. Catamaran crew very friendly and evening snacks and drinks were more then OK. |

| Trip was great. Late July date meant moderate temps (but bring a jacket/sweater). Cruise went all the way to Golden Gate, so lots of photo ops from different perspectives. Crew was knowledgeable and frindly. Would recommend to anyone. |

| This was a really pleasant cruise, which started with the fact that there were only 9 passengers on board. I was quite impressed by the service and warmth of the crew, as they waited for us to board (we were running late with traffic & parking). But the views of the city and various landmarks were most memorable. Great activity that's well worth the money. |

| My husband and I recently took a sunset bay cruise on the AdventureCat2 to celebrate our anniversary and had an amazing time! The weather was perfect, the staff was super friendly and accommodating, and the views were spectacular! We had a great time! We will definitely be back in the future and will recommend this particular cruise to our friends. |

| Our family really enjoyed the sailing trip on the Adventure Cat. We sailed from Pier 39, past Alcatraz and Angel Island, under the Golden Gate Bridge and back in 1.5 hours. The catamaran is fast and very stable, and the trampoline nets up front are great fun to sit in while the boat is sailing. Skipper did a great job of avoiding wakes and sailing through the fast currents and tides of the bay. With about 20 folks on board, everyone had a great time and it was not crowded. Crew was friendly. Would recommend this trip to anyone. Much more of a "real" bay experience than taking a big ferry. |

| We went out on a VERY windy and cold day. The ride was so crazy that we were getting a little sea sick inside. We went outside and it was better to get some air, but still hard to drink and impossible to eat. We agreed that the food wasnt great anyway. When we tried the food inside, the salsa was bland, the chips were low quality--some kind of flavored Doritos--and the bread for the spinach dip was also obviously cheap and tasted bad.
But we didnt come for the food. We ended up having a great time outside on the front of the boat and for a while when the wind calmed down, on the trampoline nets. It was definitely an adventure. Loved going under the GG Bridge. Luckily we brought wind breakers and gloves...I would recommend bringing these things on your website, as well as a warm hat; we could have used them.
I would recommend this ride but would make sure to say "check the weather before." Although this can be hard if you are planning far ahead of time...and no one knows when the wind will be crazy. I think it would be much more enjoyable on a nice, sunny day.
Also, the staff was great! Really nice guys, very helpful, cheerful...they were one of the best parts of the ride.
