| This sunset cruise was so perfect for me and my partner to celebrate our anniversary. The catamaran ride was smooth, the views were excellent, the snacks and drinks delicious. An absolutely awesome way to spend a couple of hours; felt like I was on vacation. I was raised in the SF Bay Area, and I cannot believe I waited this long to partake in this sunset Bay cruise. |

| We had an enjoyable time -- given the summer longer days, however, the Summer Sunset Cruise didn't really prove to be very much sunset. viewing
That said, the weather was lovely, our view of the Bay was clear and, in particular, seeing the Golden Gate Bridge from the view we had traveling below it was very cool! |

| My wife absolutely loved celebrating her birthday on the bay.
The crew was nice and food/drinks were available on the counter.
It was a brilliantly clear evening sky and the captain steered the boat at the right spots on the bay for a fantastic photo-op in front of the Golden Gate.
My wife is unlikely to forget this birthday :) |

| My brother and I enjoyed this trip so much more than a standard bay cruise. It was a sailboat, pontoon, small and intimate and also served delicious appetizers and wine. What more could you ask? The scenery was glorious and we passed Alcatraz and under the Golden Gate returning at sundown to the lights of San Francisco. A definite must to anyone coming. LOVED IT !!!! |

| Take this cruise to get a nice view of the Golden Gate at the sunset. View of the city in the evening and then in the night is worth the trip. I also got to see some nice aerobatic display from some planes practicing aerobatic manoeuvre. You will get a couple of drinks and some snacks during the cruise. Overall a nice experience! |

| We were so fortunate that on the evening of our cruise the sky was perfectly clear providing stunning sights of San Francisco city, the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz at sunset. A memorable end to our stay in the city. |

| This trip had been recommended to us by a reader on my blog. We kept the idea on our "possibilities" list, but didn't book it in advance of our trip. Truthfully, we wanted to play the weather. Once in San Francisco, we decided to go ahead and book the sunset cruise for the evening of our first wedding anniversary (a Sunday). We were lucky and had beautiful weather throughout our trip. Anyway, we had no problems booking tickets, even though we only did them a day in advance.
The sunset cruise itself was incredible. We had an absolutely amazing time. The views were stunning. First, it was fun to start off by going right by the sea lions on Pier 39. Sailing around Alcatraz was really cool, and the views of the city from out on the water were pretty impressive. The highlight of the trip was definitely the Golden Gate Bridge. We sailed right underneath it before turning back to shore. And it was amazing!
Our cruise was on June 21, and while it was gorgeous, it was COLD. Especially when the sun started going down. So definitely bring layers so you can bundle up! The crew had extra jackets available in case people needed them, and of course, you're able to go inside below the deck. But I don't recommend spending much time inside, as there is so much to see and experience outside.
The appetizers included tortilla chips and salsa, trail mix, veggies and dip, crackers and cheese spread, and fresh sourdough bread (I can only assume it was from Boudin!) with a spread as well. Nothing fancy, but let's face it--we didn't book it for the food. It was enough to hold us over until dinner, for sure. We enjoyed our drinks (glasses of wine for me, beers for my husband) while taking in the views.
The crew was very friendly. One crew member asked if we needed recommendations for any restaurants. We told her we'd appreciate them, and after asking us what kind of restaurant we were looking for and in what area, she told us to give her some time and she'd make a list. Later on the cruise, she sought us out and gave us several recommendations. So helpful!
We were able to get so many beautiful photos from out on the water. The cruise definitely helped make our first anniversary a very memorable one. It was honestly the highlight of our trip.
We 100% recommend this cruise as a "must-do" for anyone visiting San Francisco. I just hope the weather is as fantastic for everyone else as it was for us! |

| The weather changed rapidly 2-3 hours before we went out. It was cold with heavy fog, In my opinion the captain made a poor decision and should not have gone out. It was so cold no one could go on deck and visability was nill - about 50' on every side of the boat. I know there's no telling what the weather can do in San Fransisco but it was clear that no one was going to have a good experience BEFORE we sailed.
The captain's decision was made based upon the revenue to the boat and not upon anything else. I also think it was unsafe to be out in such thick fog. I believe we hugged the coast as much as possible but I couldn't see so I can't be sure. Fog horns everywhere. Although we've been on many cruses in small sailboats my wife was a bit scared and I wasn't too comfortable myself. Also, the captain didn't say anything to us about the weather or what he was doing to keep the boat safe or anything else during the trip. He just wanted to stay out long enough to get the $$$...
We just returned from our trip so I haven't had a chance to register a complaint with whatever authority the captain reports to but I intend to talk to somebody and soon.
