Great trip!

3 of us went on the Sunset cruise and had a great time. We were on the Adventure Cat 2. This is a sailboat cruise, and I'm glad to say that the crew likes to sail! We did motor for a few minutes into the wind towards the Golden Gate, but it didn't take away from the trip at all. Definitely dress warmly- our day was a beautiful and warm day by SF standards, but by the time 6:30 rolled around it was cooler than usual. A sweatshirt wasn't quite enough. I'll definitely do the trip again, and recommend it to anyone considering any kind of boat tour of the bay. Which brings me to one last thought- we got to see the "other" boats that do tours, and I can only describe them as ferries- big, hulking, metal giants, stuffed with people. To me, they looked much less appealing!

Wonderful + Different Perspectives

Trip was great. Late July date meant moderate temps (but bring a jacket/sweater). Cruise went all the way to Golden Gate, so lots of photo ops from different perspectives. Crew was knowledgeable and frindly. Would recommend to anyone.

Wonderful ride, less than wonderful company

The cruise itself was terrific, couldn't recommend it more. The only downside was that the cruise we took had about 8-10 foreign teenage/college girls acting loud and obnoxious, crowding every corner of the boat while they took pictures of each other (oblivious to the movements of the boat or the sights we were sailing around - and everyone else on board, for that matter). They didn't break the rules, but it did detract from the cruise itself, and I really wish there was a way that kind of immature behavior could be curtailed. The boat was also very crowded, packed to the maximum 55 people (it really shouldn't be more than 40, but they are running a business, so I understand). My recommendation is to avoid Fridays and Saturdays, go midweek to avoid the brats.

The only way to see the Golden Gate bridge.

This was our 3rd. cruise on the Adventure Cat. I would suggest to anyone going to S.F. should have this at the top of their list of things to do in the bay area. The crew, the food and the drinks made it even more enjoyable. The only way to see the Golden Gate bridge is looking up at it from the Adventure Cat. Thanks for helping make our vacation a memorial one. Terry, Cindy, Troy Gagliano and Lenia Carlston New Orleans, La.

Unlike other bay cruises on large boats this was amazing. The experience was wonderful. We have been to San Francisco many times and this rates as one of the best things to do. The crew was great. Very satisfied. Sunset cruise is worth the extra $$.

Nice sailing but no sunset due to thick fog

Nice catamaran and nice sail around the bay. Due to thick fog we couldn't see more of the Golden Gate then the bottom part. For the same reason we didn't see any sunset. The day thereafter (mid July) we made a day trip to the Golden Gate bridge and had fantastic weather (sunny) and visibility. Not clear to me whether sunset conditions are better on other days. Catamaran crew very friendly and evening snacks and drinks were more then OK.

The bay cruise was, well nice... My wife and I took the evening cruise in mid July and boy was it cold! The wind was non-stop and the water was really choppy- typical Bay weather for summer. The drink selection was extremely limited and the crew wasn't very nice. We kind of expected smiles and friendly greetings, but it was just "Welcome aboard"..." enjoy your trip" with flat, expressionless faces. We probably won't do it again.

Best on the Bay

We've been on SF Bay Cruises before. This one is a cut above the normal. Being on a sailing cat with a smaller group and more individualized service was wonderful. Highly recommended.

Beautiful Sunset on the Bay

My fiance and I had a great time on the cruise. From the staff to the boat, the operation was professionally run with the guests comfort and enjoyment obviously on the top of the priority list. I do and have recommended the AdventureCat as easily to out-of-towners as frequently as I do to locals looking to enjoy The City and The Bay in a new way.
