| We had a great time on this cruise. I had read previous reviews before booking this cruise. Info I found very helpful was to go prepared with a jacket! It was quite windy but we were expecting this. The cruise itself was fabulous. We enjoyed the smaller sailboat type cruise over the larger boats with a lot of people. If you enjoy being on the water and smaller crowds, this cruise is for you. The views of the city and the Golden Gate Bridge were excellent. A note on the drinks and appetizers...I read previous reviews with complaints on the snacks and drinks. We were going on this cruise to see the sites, not for the snacks, so we found the snacks and beverages to be a bonus! And they on top of that, they weren't bad! Happy Sailing! |

| We had a wonderful time on this sunset cruise! My husband and I and our two boys (11 & 9) enjoyed the boat, the quiet of the sails, the wonderful scenery (Golden Gate Brige is amazing at Sunset)... My boys never came inside the cabin! They hung out on the front railing pointing at the scenery, and riding the waves on the netting of the Catamaran. The crew provided a nice assortment of snacks, drinks and even extra jackets (It does get cold out there.) which made for a wonderful evening. Have a nice bowl of chowder in a nearby resteraunt before you board to get nice and warm first... |

Nice views, but too much engine used for this sail

| This is advertised as a sunset sailing cruise where the engine is used to get into and out of the harbor. Unfortunately, on our cruise the engine was used repeatedly, which took away from the sailing experience. There was not enough seating for everyone and many people were drunk and dropping plastic cups into the sea.
The staff was courtesous and pleasant, and the views of the bridge were spectacular. Our family had a nice time on the evening cruise, but less engine would have made it a better sail. |

| The crew was helpful and fun. I have seen the Cat's sailing on the bay in the past but never had a chance to take a cruise. We went on the sunset cruise and had an incredible time. The bay looks so diferent from on the water. The price was great and I would highly recommend the trip to anyone.

| The crew was very hospitable. The snacks were better than expected. The trip was just as brief as scheduled. The route did not offer much of a "sunset" view of the sun but it did show off the city in the light of the setting sun. |

| I was expecting something a bit more memorable for a sunset cruise of the bay - especially considering the premium one pays for the evening trip. Turns out that it is just a windy, cold run around Alcatraz to the Golden Gate bridge and back to Pier 39. No one explaining what you are seeing - just a couple of guys driving the boat and one guy at the bar. There is also a selection of inexpensive appetizers - chips and salsa, bread and spinach dip, crackers & cheese, grapes, veggies, etc. They ran out of plates pretty quickly, so you had to use napkins, instead.
It's popular - there were about 40 people for a Monday night sail - half huddled inside the cabin, the other half freezing outside. Just seemed overpriced at $45 to me. It was our first night in town and we thought that this would be special - my kids were definitely bored. I don't think that it will make the "top 10" list for our vacation. |

| We have lived off and on in the Bay area for years but never took this trip-it was an amazing wonderful experience. The catamaran makes such a smooth trip that even one of our party who gets seasick thoroughly enjoyed it |

| There was a large group of young European tourists with an advisor on board with us, but they were harmless. The appetizers that were served were less than desireable...cut up vegetables, pre-packaged dips and crackers/sliced bread. Something any teenager could have prepared on paper plates...and the drink choices were canned soda, a few domestic beers, and a choice of Beringer red or white wine. Don't go expecting much food or drink wise. The trip took us past Alcatraz and under the Golden Gate Bridge...they stopped so that everyone could get pictures and the sunset was gorgeous. Even though it was August-it was very cold out on the Bay. Dress warm-layers are probably a good idea and expect to get wet if you stay outside in the front...but they do warn you about this. The Bay waters can be rough-so it can be a bit rocky from time to time. Overall though, we had a great time and it's a great way to see the bridge close up. |
