Sunset Sail on San Francisco Bay

This was the first time for my husband and I both to do this type of activity. It was one of the best tours we have ever taken. This is a definite yearly tour for us now.

We LOVED the Sunset Cruise provided by Adventure Cat Sailing Charters! My husband and I have each been to San Francisco at least a dozen times and brought a friend along this time. We have done many activities throughout the city - and this one ranks as one of the highest! We opted for the sunset cruise - a very affordable option at $45 (June '09) which included two drinks and appetizers. We found the crew to be very hospitable at all points throughout our boarding, journey, and landing. We went around Alcatraz, and out just past the Golden Gate Bridge and back. The ride was smooth - a calm bay helped - but the captain and crew clearly knew how to navigate the waves in the interest of the comfort of the customers. This activity offers great views of the city and an opportunity to kick back and relax (often an unknown feeling while in such a great and active city). We look forward to taking this trip again on our next visit.

I went with a group of 6 friends for a friend's birthday and it was the perfect present - everyone loved it!

very good deal! relatively inexpensive for the amount of fun you get! Albiet, the weather was a bit cold, the crew were very friendly and the boat was in great shape! the snacks were delicious and 2 free drinks! you can enjoy the sites in the boat or out in the nets! it's so much fun!

This trip was amazing. Too bad it was too short. We really enjoyed the cruise. One tip for people is bring a extra pair of pants. I stood at the front part of the boat and water splashed all over me, and I didn't have an extra pair of pants and it was really cold. I was not planning on getting wet during this cruise. Overall, this was a great experience. It's once in a life time event, enjoy it!

Enjoyed the relaxing sunset cruise as well as the light appetizers and drinks. Was a nice surprise to see that the cruise provided jackets for the guests as it was quite windy. We were able to get beautiful, close-up photos of the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz.

Don't be discouraged by the fog in San Francisco. Once you are out of the harbor, chances are there will be nice, sunny weather, and sailing a catamaran at full speed is an absolutely exhilarating experience! Take plenty of warm clothing along, the wind can bring the temperatures down, and don't forget your camera. The scenery is beautiful, and watching the maneuvers on deck is just as interesting as the sights like Alcatraz and the Golden Gate Bridge. Two free drinks with assorted snacks, a friendly crew, and comfortable seating with great views made for a very enjoyable evening at sea.

We had a great time. This trip was just the right period of time and the drinks and food was great. Very basic beer and wine service with Costco veggie trays and other cool foods. The boat cruised by Alcatraz and then headed over toward Marin, turn left and went under the Golden Gate. Good music, good friends, and an overall good time.
