| I've lived in SF for 12 years, but somehow had never been out onto the Bay. Why did I wait? Who knows. But now I know who to go with: the Adventure Cat is a great way to get out and see our local treasure. It departs from Pier 39, so you cruise right past the sea lions. Having the sails go up overhead is thrilling, and the trip around Alcatraz, under the Bridge, and back along the waterfront feels like a real adventure. You can even sit on the mesh 'trampolines' out front and look straight down at the water while being bounced and splashed with the waves. It's also fine for more sedate people since there is seating indoors and in the stern. The only problem is that the seats are very low (almost at the water line) and the views are not so good. So this trip would be less good for people who don't feel comfortable standing or sitting cross-legged on the mesh up front. If I go out with elderly relatives I might take one of the other cruise options. For young people, or adventurous types, this is definitely the trip to pick.
Also, keep an eye out for dolphins as you go under the Golden Gate Bridge! |

| I usually love this thing and have gone 3 times so far. Unfortunately the most recent time wasn't too great. I can't believe that Adventurecat would cram such a small boat with over 20 people. It was too crowded and it didn't give you enough space to enjoy the ride. I felt I had to fight for space on the boat. I think they should limit the amount of people. I'm more than happy to pay double the price if this keeps the number of people down on the boat. I've gone in the past when it was around 10 - 12 people which was a perfect amount. This time it was just way too crowded. I understand that it is a business and cycles is key in cash flow, however, couldn't you offer a VIP package that costs a little more, limits the amount of people, and even include a full meal or more drinks? Just a thought. |

| Extremely friendly, multi-lingual crew. Very professional. Nice to have such a international mix of passengers. Turned out to be a very reasonably priced , 16th birthday party for my daughter. Her friends had a blast! |

| We had a great time. The boat was really cool and there's something to be said for sailing instead of being subject to the noise and vibration of a big motor. The snacks were quality. The crew was fun and professional and timed the sunset trip perfectly. |

| it was pretty crowded...not a lot of seating inside to protect u from the cold. although the weather wasnt that great the crowd of people were a delight. snacks were average...nothing too much. would have been a better trip if the weather was nicer. overall, not bad since they cant control the weather. |

| The trip was great! The atmosphere isn't the most romantic date spot, but the fact that its freezing at sunset makes snuggling a must. 1.5 hours is plenty long. Do your nice dinner beforehand, considering what you will look like after having your head blown off as you circle underneath the Golden Gate. The views are spectacular, the crew is really cool, and the boat is big and safe. Can't wait to do it again next year during the heat spell! |

Family Without Children |
| We signed on this cruise as a fun way to help celebrate our wedding anniversary. But this is an excursion you'll want to take no matter what the occasion, because it's such a great way to experience the Bay Area. The wind and the waves, the creaking of canvas, gorgeous views and fine hospitality on board -- well, we just had a wonderful time. And we'll do it again. The next time we have visitors, they're coming along, too! |

Group of Friends |
| I'm a local, but haven't done anything like this before. It was a nice activity to do before dinner. There was a large group of us and we all enjoyed it. The beer and wine selection lacked variety (Red Wine vs. white wine, or bud vs. bud light and becks vs. "something else.") The appetizers were chips and salsa, bread with spinach dip, and some other things -- nothing to write home about in terms of the appetizers. However, I enjoyed it and the price was good at $45, so I would do this again. |
