Amazing Views...Until the fog rolled in Sunset Cruise on San Francisco Bay

The Sunset cruise with Adventure Cat was fantastic. The staff was courteous and knowledgeable. The ship was in great shape (and the bar was well stocked). If only the fog hadn't closed in like some evil movie monster as we sailed towards and through Golden Gate. It was pretty neat hearing the conversations of the fog horns though. Highly recommended. The foul weather gear provided by the crew was a life saver.

1st time on the bay. cool to see the city from the water. love the sea lions. looped alcatraz and went under the ggb. it was great weather which probably made all the difference but they provide really warms coats on the boat. overall good time. great thing to do with in town guests, parents visiting etc.

If you are just dying to get out on the bay... then this will definitely suffice. Upsides: $32 per person for the 1 1/2 hour catamaran tour. You're on the San Francisco Bay. They do swing underneath the Golden Gate Bridge which was pretty neat. Downsides: You and 40 or 50 other people you don't know seeking space on the railing. (This was a gorgeous day, so perhaps there were more people than usual...) This commercial vessel hardly makes you feel like you're sailing. For the price, it was pretty good. I grew up sailing however and this was just not the sailing / bay experience I was looking for...

beautiful views from the catamirand. small group of passengers lended a feeling of relaxation to the 1 & 1/2 hour sail. chilly, but eventually warmed up. gorgeous sunset, and inspirational going under the golden gate bridge. it was a great surprise present for spouse's birthday. we would do it again -- no problem.

My 20yo son and I went on this cruise around the Bay ( we chose the sunset cruise) and we both had a great time! We both found people in our oun age groups to socialize with and would definitely do this again. The day was clear and the sunset extaordinary. I thought the price was reasonable too as it came with food and 2 compimentary drinks. I would highly recommend this activity to visitors and locals alike.

Sailing on the Adventure Cat is really a wonderful way to be out on the water, especially if you don't mind being on a smallish boat, a little choppiness, and usually some strong winds. My wife gave this to me as a birthday present, knowing that I would enjoy it. I did -- it was way too short! We did the 3:00 sailing, which is a good time to go with the sun still up pretty high. I suspect the sunset sailings are quite a bit cooler as well as costing a lot more. If I could I would give this event 4.5 stars rather than 5 because it's a little expensive. Still, it's well worth the splurge even if you watch your expenses carefully the way we do.

My friend and I enjoy going on "adventures" and that was another remarkable day in the city! We have seen the sites via land, but there is something about being on the bay looking back on the land that makes for a spectacular site! We will definetly be doing this again.

Loved the fact there were no loud speakers giving cheesy descriptions of views, but instead had relaxed, friendly but professional crew. Felt more like a relaxing boat trip than a touristy tour

My family and I totally enjoyed the Sunset cruise. It was worth it! My kids and I enjoyed sitting on the netting. My daughter and I shared good amount of giggles when the waves are on the bouncy side. Seeing the Golden Gate with the sun setting on the horizon is breathtaking. Will definitely do it again. Captain Hans, Bea and Heather (I think) were wonderful. My kids kept on going back to the hors d'oeuvres table. Can't get enough of their bread. Thank you so much!

It was beautiful day in SF. The staff were very nice and helpful. The trip was wonderful, going under the Golden Gate was fabulous. We had family from MASS that had never been to NorCal and they were estatic about going on the CAT. Would hightly reccommend this tour as opposed to the large boat tours.

A great way to relax and take in the view after a day of shopping, eating, sightseeing, etc. About an hour of not doing much except taking in the scenery. A great little ride.

Adventurecat is great. A group of 12 of us went and had a fantastic day hanging out on the netting (get everything out of your pockets-we had one phone casualty when it dropped through the net!) The crew was great and super accommodating, the price was totally reasonable, and hanging out with friends on the bay on a gorgeouus day was awesome!

The cruise was beautiful and fun - a wonderful way to get out and see the Bay! And in addition to the great views, the Adventure Cat service was impeccable - the staff were prompt and courteous and the boat was nice and clean.

I took out my team leaders for a team outing, booked tickets on line, confirmed 5pm sail. When we got there found out it was 6pm. We'd all left work early to make it there on time so disappointed that time was not accurate. My concern would be that guests would have the same experience.
