An unforgettable experience

| Don't be discouraged by the fog in San Francisco. Once you are out of the harbor, chances are there will be nice, sunny weather, and sailing a catamaran at full speed is an absolutely exhilarating experience! Take plenty of warm clothing along, the wind can bring the temperatures down, and don't forget your camera. The scenery is beautiful, and watching the maneuvers on deck is just as interesting as the sights like Alcatraz and the Golden Gate Bridge. Two free drinks with assorted snacks, a friendly crew, and comfortable seating with great views made for a very enjoyable evening at sea. | ||||||

| My husband and I (late 40's) took this cruise and had an absolute blast! You will have great views of the whole warf area, alcatraz and the golden gate bridge and can get some great photos. You can just sit in one spot inside and not move the whole trip or you can move all around the boat in and out (which we did). Be aware that it is a bit rough, so be sure to wear sneakers. Our cruise was quite chilly, but they have coats on board you can borrow. Don't expect to sit outside on the netting the whole time, as you will get wet, but there was certainly times you could sit out there. Once the netting got wet it was obviously wet to sit there anytime afterward - but we didn't mind. It was really a lot of fun. Our cruise only had 8 people on board which made it fun and easy to move around - a full boat might not have been quite as enjoyable. I would highly recommend the trip! | ||||||

| I highly, highly recommend this. I grew up in the sf bay area and this was an entirely new and refreshing way to see the bay. The sites are gorgeous, the crew is nice and every moment of the trip is memorable. | ||||||

| Relatives were visiting from out of town and we wanted to take them for a cruise on the bay. We looked into the cruises with the ferry's and then I remembered taking a cruise on the Adventure Cat with a group about a year ago. I looked into the public cruises and decided that for a few dollars more than the ferries, the Adventure Cat would be worth it. We not only were right, but I'd underestimated how much better the Adventure Cat is than the ferries. While we could see the ferry packed with at least 100 people taking a cruise, we were enjoying the relaxing cruise on the Adventure Cat with only a few other people and the 3 crew members. So, to sum it up, if you're looking for a relaxing and enjoyable cruise around the bay, take the Adventure Cat cruise. If you're cheap and are looking to save a few dollars, enjoy being packed in like sardines on the ferry. In my opinion however, the Adventure Cat is the ONLY way to cruise the bay. | ||||||

| We went on the bay cruise 3 days ago and it was awesome. A little cold because of the fog, so dress warm just in case. It was very much worth the money spent. The drinks on the boat were cheap also... I did not feel like I was being scammed, only 1.50 for hot chocolate! in my experience with other cruises like this, they would have charged 8 bucks! We go to cruise under the golden gate and around alcatraz island. Over all it was very relaxing and fun. I would make sure to do this again the next time that we are in town. | ||||||

The Coolest Way To See The Bay

| The trip was, quite simply, superb!! Sailing around ' The Rock' and under the Golden Gate Bridge is definitely the way to do it. And for those of us who can not afford to buy a yacht, or shirk at the costs involved in chartering, it is the only way to see it. No noisy engines, no noisy customers, no noisy kids running amok!! No annoying announcements from the 'knowledgeable captain' no nasal tour guide with a mic and a distorted seaker system. The cruise was for a nice manageable number of people. There were decent canapes available and enough cold beers to wash them down with. All in all this was a five star tour. We were lucky with the weather, we had blue sky and a good strong wind to fill the sails!! | ||||||

| This cruise was amazing! It's got a place for everyone - the nets for those who don't mind getting splashed (or soaked), the middle of the boat for the people who love the wind, but not the cold water, and the back of the boat for people who don't like the wind. They have amenities, jackets onboard for people who forget them or think they don't need them (you will NEED jackets) and more. It's safe, fun, and both exciting and relaxing. I highly recommend this cruise to anyone! They will depart exactly on time, so be sure to be *at the gate at the pier* early. Don't count on cable cars or muni - our cable car broke down and we had to run for the pier! | ||||||

| This was an extremely enjoyable sunset cruise. I can think of no better way to enjoy the Bay and to see the Golden Gate bridge up close. There was no commentary to point out what we were seeing, but that didn't really matter to us; just thought I should point it out incase others want a guided tour of the Bay. I suspect also that much of our enjoyment was due to the very fine weather we experienced - sunny, 80 degrees, water as calm as it gets - and that this might not be quite such a pleasant cruise in heavy fog, 60 degrees, choppy. Obviously that's not something the tour company can do anything about, but bear it in mind when deciding on the tour. The catamaran does have a well sheltered comfortable cabin which would be fine for poorer weatherm but the experience overall would not be so good. | ||||||

A great way to take in the SF bay

| There are other ways to cruise around the SF bay - the blue fleet or the gold fleet - but a ride on the adventure cat is different and better for several reasons. First, its not as crowded as the other ones; second, you are much closer to the water since the adventure cat is a sail boat and sits very low on the water. The captain - Hans - lets you roam around his boat and you can even walk across the net that stretches between the two hulls of the boat. Directly beneath the net is the bay water. I recently took my brother and his wife on this ride and they enjoyed it every bit. | ||||||

| We came to San Francisco for a meeting and we wanted to take our group out on the bay and see a few things. One of the girls here mentioned the tour and we went for it. Everyone had a good time and enjoyed the ride. The food was not that great but I was there more for the boat ride than the food. I would highly recommend this tour to my friends and co-workers. | ||||||

| My boyfriend and I took a long-planned vacation to San Francisco recently but, unfortunately, didn't have the budget we expected to have. This was our one splurge and it was worth it! The views were spectacular and the boat ride was a unique experience for us. We're from Minnesota and grew up on boats. But neither of us has ever been on a catamaran. We sat up front on a special net that allowed us to see the water below! It felt like an adventure -- a little bit scary but a lot of fun. We kind of kept to ourselves but the rest of the passengers sat in the cabin talking and getting to know each other. I think they had a few drinks too! The captain was friendly and made the experience very positive for all of us. | ||||||

| It's a fantastic experience for my family. The day is my wife's birthday. She like this special birthday event so much. My 4-year-old son is glad to meet a new friend, Danial, in this cruise. The crews are friendly and professional. I strongly recommend it to everyone. | ||||||
