Adventure Cat Sailing Charters

Beautiful ride past Alcatraz, under Golden Gate Bridge and back through the bay. We saw porpoises, sea lions, harbor seals and pelicans. Once you pass under the bridge you sail close to the rocky cliffs on shoreline. You can sit out on the front of the boat (if you are willing to get a bit wet - but this is the best view by far). Great way to see the SanFrancisco Bay.

My girlfriend and I just returned from a weekend in SF and the Adventure Cat sunset cruise was the highlight of our trip!...It was a great value for the price and the cruise was an incredible way to see Alcatraz, Golden Gate and the city skyline. The crew was friendly, the boat left and returned on-time, and the food and drinks on board added to the experience. Plus, it docks at Pier 39, where there are many entertainment options when you return. I highly recommend the Adventure Cat cruise to anyone!

We had the best time on this cat ride. Would do it again and would recommend to others. Tons of fun!!

This was a perfect way to start our visit to SF. Beautiful views of the city & Golden Gate Bridge as we passed by Alcatraz. A small group of people with drinks & appetizers included. The weather cooperated but I think we would have enjoyed this regardless. Questions answered without an ongoing onslaught of local info like happens on so many "tours." Very relaxing & peaceful.

The hardest part of this trip was finding parking and the boat dock!! It is J dock down on Pier 39.... that was not on the directions and we asked several shops and got different directions at each! the phone number listed had an answering machine!!!!. Soooo.... allow enough time to get there. Once we found the boat... it was all fantastic ...the crew was very nice.... and even tho there were alot of folks sailing because it was a holiday weekend.. it didn't seem crowded. The trip around Alcatraz and then out to the gate was super...what a temperature change out of the gate... so remember your jackets. You get a view of SF that is worth a million bucks.

leaving at 3pm allowed for the fog to clear so we had beautiful sunny blue sky, a beautiful backdrop to the golden gate bridge, alcatraz, the city and the hills around us. the pictures i got are beautiful. the boat moved at a nice pace. not chugging along slowly and not whipping through the water. the breeze in the face was so refreshing, a little chilly even with sun shining, so bring a scarf and cover the ears. the catamaran was the perfect size. it wasn't crowded and the covered area was really nice. and the small toilet areas were very clean and smelled good. i was hoping to hear a little history of alcatraz or the bridge as we passed by but there wasn't any narration by the boat staff. the staff was very nice though, even when a young kid was messing with things he shouldn't, they weren't angry with him, but firm and a "thank you" when he cooled his jets. the 1 1/2 hr tour is long enough and I feel a good bargain for the $35 cost. a fun way to spend a small part of your day....relaxing and yet still seeing the sites of SF, and being right on pier 39 makes it very convenient.

Crew was nice and the views were great! One of those things that as a local you never seem to get around to doing...

A very nice catamaran sail out across the Bay to Sausalito and under the bridge. It's a small boat so it did not feel touristy.

The boat is so fast and smooth. Sailing is the only way to fly, none of that stink and chop and noise. The crew was great too, very casual and personable, less structured than the mega-tour operations. Thumbs up on the Adventure Cat! (hah, my name should read "this is bill", can't change it!:)

I took my mom on the cruise as part of a birthday celebration and we had a very fun time. It was very foggy so couldn't see a lot (like the GG bridge until we were literally underneath it) but of course you can never predict that in San Fran. We enjoyed the cruise, chatting watching the scenery go by and having a couple cocktails. The crew were super...friendly, knowledgeable etc. It seems like this would be an awesome outing for a group of friends. Possibly feel I could've spent the money better since it was basically a nice hour and a half chat with my mom over cocktails with nice scenery. Would probably not do it again under those circumstances but definitely would with a bigger group.

My wife & I really enjoyed the trip looking for the sunset. The captain and his mates were excellent hosts with extra jackets, food, and plenty of good service. Although it was foggy going out, they knew exactly where to go get us a sunset that we will remember for some time to come. Absolutley beautiful :). Definitely one of the best $$ spent in SF. Hint: You can't feel the world behind plastic walls"

It was a very nice experience - friendly crew, well maintained catamaran, fun group onboard, snacks, drinks available - beautiful view - just an amazing trip!
