My wife, sister, 9 year old daughter and myself went on the sunset cruise. We enjoyed it VERY much. It was one of two highlights of our vacation. It is well worth the money spent!

It was a spectacular day

It was my first real trip to San Francisco and our cruise on the AdventureCat was fantastic. We had a small group on our tour which made it even nicer. We sailed around Alcatraz, under the Golden Gate Bridge and back to the Warf. The staff was friendly, the boat was clean, and the views were spectacular. I highly recommend this cruise for those with limited time in the city but want to see all they can. It does get cold and you can get wet, but it is worth the risk. Bring a jacket and your camera!

The views speak for themselves!

This was such a perfect way to spend an afternoon, especially celebrating a special occasion. The crew was low key yet professional, getting on the boat was simple, safety instructions minimal, and then the cruise was more fun than expected as the wind gave us great speed but not so strong as to need more than a light jacket. Easy to enjoy adventure in a world class attraction!!!

A great time, the best way to see Golden Gate

I wasn't sure what to expect when I pre-booked this trip but I wasn't disappointed. This was one of the highlights of our time in San Francisco. The boat is clean and tidy and the crew are friendly and helpful. Sailing under the bridge with some cool music in the background was so relaxing and the perfect back drop for the bridge. A sail around Alcatraz is an added bonus (though I would urge everyone to actually visit the island, pre-book though because chances are you won't get tickets on the day) I urge anyone going to SF to book this trip, you won't be disappointed. A1, 5 Stars!!! Take a top to put on as it can get chilly and in certain areas of the cat viewing platform it can get a bit wet around your legs... but that add's to the experience, and you will be dry by the time you get back to shore anyway.

I have been ridng on the Adventure Cat for almost 10 years and every time I ride, it is just amazing. I feel this is the best tourist attraction value in the Bay! To take an hour and a half cruise out under Golden Gate Bridge at sunset with cocktails and light snacks is fabulous for $40+ per person. I try and get out on this boat evry time I'm in SF with my wife.

This was an extremely enjoyable sunset cruise. I can think of no better way to enjoy the Bay and to see the Golden Gate bridge up close. There was no commentary to point out what we were seeing, but that didn't really matter to us; just thought I should point it out incase others want a guided tour of the Bay. I suspect also that much of our enjoyment was due to the very fine weather we experienced - sunny, 80 degrees, water as calm as it gets - and that this might not be quite such a pleasant cruise in heavy fog, 60 degrees, choppy. Obviously that's not something the tour company can do anything about, but bear it in mind when deciding on the tour. The catamaran does have a well sheltered comfortable cabin which would be fine for poorer weatherm but the experience overall would not be so good.

Fun? You bet!

I invited a few friends to join myself and a friend visiting from Ireland. We felt immediately welcomed and there was a joyful sense of commaraderie with our fellow passengers...a sort of "we're all in this together" vibe. It was a beautiful, typical, San Francisco evening. The Bay was relatively calm but our Captain made sure we hit enough swells to make everyone go "Whoa!". We were on the sunset cruise, with complimentary drinks and snacks. I managed the red wine without spilling a drop (until a friend backed into me), but I had trouble navigating the wine, my balance and the snacks. The snacks were a little bit boring anyway - of the chips and salsa variety - so I avoided them. Besides, we weren't there for the chips and salsa - it was the fresh air, a chance to be under the Golden Gate, the sense of adventure for someone who spends most of her time on terra firma. It was a great evening that I recommend to anyone with guests visiting the Bay Area for the first time. We followed our AdventureCat experience with hot Irish Coffees and a good meal - a perfect evening.

The ride is spectacular........why anyone would do a ferry cruise when you can do this is beyond me. Intimate boat with spectacular views and a thrill ride out on the bow!

Excellent sail even in bad weather

We have an excellent sail even with very bad weather conditions. The catamaran was in perfect shape, the crew expert enough, the food excellent and the atmosphere very positive. Having the weather completelly against the activity we had an excellent good time, even my younger daughter (9 years old) not very enthusiastic of sea activities Highly recomended!!

Fun and casual

We took the AdventureCat several years ago and really enjoyed it. At that time, they did not offer warm coats, so we came prepared this time. It does get very cold on the water, but there is warm cocoa or tea below deck and as I said, they now offer warm coats for those unprepared (hard to believe it can be 90 degrees in San Jose and 62 in San Francisco). Our relatives were from out of state and repeated told us what a great time they had. The crew was very casual and you are free to move about all you like.

This was a great tour with a very good crew. The scenery was beautiful, the food and drink were very nice, which made it all worth the price of the ticket. One note, it is cold on the water so remember to dress warm although AdventureCat does provide jackets.

Great Time in SF Sailing

I took a 9 year old boy out for a fun afternoon @ Fisherman's Warf and Pier 39. We booked the sailing trip and it was our highlight of the day!!! He helped pull the main sail and took the helm with the captain at his side. He was thrilled with the adventure. I highly recommend the sailing trip. Great experience for all. Dress warm but they do have some jackets for guests (non kid size ~ )
