Best of San Francisco

This is a great experience. The staff was friendly and helpful the food was more than adequate. There was a bit of a line to get drinks from the bar at times - but not a really problem. The only way it could have been better would have been for it never to end. The views are spectacular and the experience of being under wind power only is wonderful. The view of the sunset behind the Golden Gate Bridge was awe inspiring. In addition to the natural beauty of this trip you get two distinctly different views of the city. At the beginning of the cruise you get to see the city beaming with sunlight and get to gain true perspective of how condensed the city is and how the so gracefully seems to envelope every square inch of earth. On the return you get to see the same city light up and open itself to Frisco's notorious night life. I almost forgot on the way down the pier you might get to meet a sea lion or two, and as you sail away from the slip you pass right by the sea lion hang out! Great GREAT GREAT trip.

Disappointingly awful

This boat trip was disappointing. We were packed onto the boat like cattle, the boat was still loading up after we were supposed to have left. This meant that it was extremely difficult, if not impossible, to move around the boat, and we had trouble taking photos since there were so many people on the boat. We were expecting a romantic boat cruise, which this certainly wasn't. This trip was advertised as having snacks, which consisted of one bowl of tortilla chips two small bowls of mayo dip and some rubbery vegetables which was all pretty disgusting. Plus we had a ticket for one drink at the bar where the choice was extremely limited, and further drinks were really expensive. This trip should be advertised as what it is: a booze cruise with no food. Most of the people on this trip were already drunk when they got on and continued to be obnoxious for the rest of the journey. We felt particularly sorry for the one family who had bought their two small children along, as they had to hide inside the boat as it was both dodgy to go on the upper deck due to there being too many people, as well as a lot of drunk people. I would not recommend this cruise to anyone, and we were sorry we had spent our hard earned $98 on it.

The appetizers were good. Vegetables w/ dips, Spincach dip and bread, chips and salsa. A great way to spend an evening.

We missed 1 PM boat since we were running little late but Maria was very kind and gave us tickets for 3 PM. Sailing was a totally new experience for both of us. My wife and I loved this trip. We are planning to go on sunset cruise next time. Thanks AdventureCat!

I have been ridng on the Adventure Cat for almost 10 years and every time I ride, it is just amazing. I feel this is the best tourist attraction value in the Bay! To take an hour and a half cruise out under Golden Gate Bridge at sunset with cocktails and light snacks is fabulous for $40+ per person. I try and get out on this boat evry time I'm in SF with my wife.

My two sons and one of their girlfriends visited. It was a windy day with large swells. A few people got splashed but everyone seemed to enjoy the ride. The kids had a blast. My wife and I had a great time also. Great scenery, just a beautiful way to spend a couple of hours.

A Great Adventure For Old and Young

We had all ages in our group... trendy 20 somethings, romantic 30-50's, grandpa, grandma, kids and grandkids. Everyone enjoyed this adventure. Dress warmly and even take a blanket... although they did have extra coats for the ones that forgot. Could be better if they had optional headsets to listen to a tour about the areas you saw.

A great time but the 4-yr old couldn't dig it

I loved the trip - sailing is much more exciting than I'd ever expected. Two words of advice, though - 1. keep kids under 7 or so home - my four year old got wet in the first 10 minutes and spend the rest of the ride inside drinking hot chocolate. 2. Listen to the captain (he warned us that those in front get wet - HE WASN'T KIDDING)! It was foggy and in the low 60's, and we were dressed for summer weather. Had to stop at Gap across from Pier 39 for a change of clothes. Highly recommend this trip - with the caveats, of course.

I took my boyfriend on the sunset cruise for his birthday. It was a surprise to him and he loved it. The boat was much nicer than a ferry (which is a horrible way to take a cruise) and it was great when we sailed under the Golden Gate Bridge. Decent food, drinks were alright though it would be nice if there were cocktails rather than just beer and wine. Crew was friendly. It was pretty chilly and incredibly windy until we got the warm air off the mountains of Sausilito. This was the best part of the cruise! Perfect weather, no wind, and the sun setting below the mountains. It was a very romantic trip and I would recommend it to any couple. I don't think I'd have enjoyed it if I were with my family. It is definitely an intimate experience in my opinion.

Great time on the bay

Had great time with family on the 65' catamaran/Adventure Cat. The crew was skilled and helpful, the cruise itself on time and easy to find on Pier 39. Had originally scheduled for the 1pm cruise but had some heavy traffic on hwy 24 westbound. called en route and was able to change cruise to 3:00pm without missing a beat. Would recommend to locals and visitors alike. Word of caution, though. Went on Aug 28th, a very warm day in SF at 87 degrees which quickly dropped into 60s on the chilly bay waters. Adventure Cat keeps jackets on board for just such occasions.

not crowded, great date, awesome views, worth $

It was a great time. The views were awesome and there were only about 20 people on the spacious catamaran. We did go on a weekday. It was on a clear day and it was a blast. The only small complaint I had was that there is no PA system and that a little talking from the 2 crew members to explain what we were passing would be nice. Although if you want no one talking and just yourself and your family/spouse/other then this is definitely a great trip. Definitely better than those double decker harbor cruises.

Friendly staff, well worth the money. We thought it was a great trip around the bay, it gave us a close up look of Acatraz, Sausalito, and the bridge. It was very nice. We got a rather cold and windy day, which made it hard to stay out on the deck, but it was well worth it.
