Enjoyable trip

It was very enjoyable, but I was looking for a little more of a thrill. I would have liked a little more speed and excitement.

Best way to cruise the bay

This was the first time I've sailed on the bay and I really enjoyed it. I've been on a number of other boat cruises on the bay and often felt seasick and/or somewhat assaulted by the wind and waves. This was a really pleasant sail under the golden gate bridge and it wasn't until we were on the ocean side of the bridge that I noticed the waves. The crew was really cool and friendly and there were the right number of people on the boat so it wasn't too crowded. I think the value for the money is fantastic, and it's a great way to see the bay and golden gate bridge--especially with someone from out of town.

The best way to see the Bay & Golden Gate Bridge

There were seven in our group, two teenagers, two 20 somethings and three 40 somethings. We all enjoyed the trip. The crew was wonderful and the other guests were so sweet. It was a real treat for our family from Virginia Beach, we got lots of great pictures! I totally recommend this outing!

Amazing

I grew up in the Bay area and my wife had never been north of LA, she is an avid sailor so I figured a cruise around the Bay would be a perfect way to spend the day and seeing the sites. I get sea sick on Kayaks, the Catamaran was so smooth even when the water was a little rough, I was fine. The day was amazing and the Crew was great! WAY BETTER than the other "Fleets" that power you around!

Worth doing again

The captain and crew were terrific, the boat is in excellent condition and the ride is exhilarating. My 18-year-old son said he'd like to do it again sometime soon. It's a great way to see Alcatraz (without the crowds), a unique perspective of the Golden Gate Bridge, and the city shoreline...something intoxicating about flying along at 20 knots with the fresh air in your face. We'll definitely be back.

Best cruise on the bay

I always bring my visitors on the Adventure Cat and recommend it to friends with people visiting, much more comfortable way to cruise the bay than the big old Blue & Gold Fleet tour and very reasonably priced too.

Cold but exciting

The views were spectacular! Alcatraz, Sausilito, under the Golden Gate Bridge were the main highlights, just to name a few. The only thing was that the fog rolled in and it was pretty cold.

FUN FUN FUN - an absolute "must do!" in SF

This was by far one of my favorite outings while visiting my daughter in San Francisco. The crew was great, the food was good and the views were fantastic. The catamaran allowed you the option of being inside or out - and going back and forth as suited you. The feeling of actually sailing was quite liberating and relaxing. I even took advantage of hanging out on the cargo nets when the water wasn't rough. I took several other trips where we were crammed onto ferries so having a small group on the catamaran was much more enjoyable. If you only get tickets for one thing while in San Francisco, this sunset cruise would get my enthusiastic vote. P.S. while planning my family's trip, i read all of the glowing reviews of this cruise before booking and now i add my kudos as well! The five-star rating is well-deserved!!!!!

a very good experience!!

The staff is really sympathic, and sailing the bay in a catamaran was a great experience... even if the sunset was a little bit hidden by the fog! Anyway the buffet and drink made this tour very enjoyable. I recommend it to anybody, that is worth the price! PS: do not forgot to bring a warm jacket if you want to enjoy being outside on the catamaran's deck!

Awesome Experience

Great staff, great boat, great trip. Despite sub-par weather, the trip was excellent. I would recommend to all to try this great trip. Beautiful views and relaxing experience. Kids 7 and 9 loved it! Be careful if you sit up front as spray can be extreme. I was personally soaked to the bone by an early splash. But even though this happen, I still had a great time. Had I been smarter and heeded the captain's recommendations to move back some I would have stayed dry and had an even better time. Don't miss this while in San Francisco.

Catamaran immensely better than ferry boats

My brother and his wife and 3-year old where in town. Couldn't get tickets to Alcatraz, so was considering a Alcatraz-themed bay cruise. So glad I did this instead. I've been on those ferry/bay cruise boats and they can't even compete with the thrill of being on a catamaran. Highly recommend.

Good trip but could have been enhanced with some commentary provided during the sail. Also, even on a relatively warm day in San Francisco it was extremely cold!

If you hvve a couple of hours to be on the bay, this is the trip for you. It is reasonably priced and you get snacks and two cocktails. There are a few seats outside the bar, and a trampoline on which to sit, which is exciting. The boat moves quote rapidly under wind power, creating a quiet atmosphere that allows you to hear the waves lapping against the boat. The crew was friendly and did what they needed to do. Leave the kids at home for this one! Very romantic!

Great Views, Nice Sailing, Great Time

We loved this trip and thought it was a great way to finish a day in SF. We will go again and take our out-ot-town visitors with us. There was no narration on the trip which is fine for the locals or Americans that knkow the area. But if you had foreign guests, then another option might be better. But for us, this was great. It was colder than we expected. But they had jackets we could borrow. Nice refreshments too.

Wonderful trip for an enthusiastic sailer
Mon, Jul 7, 08   3:00 PM Makogurl16 Female 20-29 Local Family Without Children
My father visited San Francisco from Las Vegas. Having been to the city so many times I was at a loss at what to do. Living in the city, I couldn't handle any "Tourist" attractions. The Adventure Cat came to mind when I was remembering a walk I took on the pier when I had first moved to city. The beauty of the Catamaran caught my eye and took me by surprise. It reminded me of times on my parent's sailboat which my father sadly sold a few year's ago. So the plans were set. I was unsure how my father would feel, being a passenger under another captain's sail. As soon as we pushed off however, he was in love. It was obvious the chance to be out on the water again was amazing for him, paired with the views of Golden Gate (one we can't see we have ever seen before), Alcatraz and a few seals, he praised the entire trip thoroughly. All in all, this was the perfect trip for us.
