bad weather, bad food, but turned out fun

| We went out on a VERY windy and cold day. The ride was so crazy that we were getting a little sea sick inside. We went outside and it was better to get some air, but still hard to drink and impossible to eat. We agreed that the food wasnt great anyway. When we tried the food inside, the salsa was bland, the chips were low quality--some kind of flavored Doritos--and the bread for the spinach dip was also obviously cheap and tasted bad. But we didnt come for the food. We ended up having a great time outside on the front of the boat and for a while when the wind calmed down, on the trampoline nets. It was definitely an adventure. Loved going under the GG Bridge. Luckily we brought wind breakers and gloves...I would recommend bringing these things on your website, as well as a warm hat; we could have used them. I would recommend this ride but would make sure to say "check the weather before." Although this can be hard if you are planning far ahead of time...and no one knows when the wind will be crazy. I think it would be much more enjoyable on a nice, sunny day. Also, the staff was great! Really nice guys, very helpful, cheerful...they were one of the best parts of the ride. | ||||||

| We took the AdventureCat several years ago and really enjoyed it. At that time, they did not offer warm coats, so we came prepared this time. It does get very cold on the water, but there is warm cocoa or tea below deck and as I said, they now offer warm coats for those unprepared (hard to believe it can be 90 degrees in San Jose and 62 in San Francisco). Our relatives were from out of state and repeated told us what a great time they had. The crew was very casual and you are free to move about all you like. | ||||||

| The AdventureCat is unique way to cruise the bay. Yes, lots of boats cruise the bay, some are even catamarans, for that smooth, no-rocking ride....but only AdventureCat adds that wonderful element of no engines as you blow across the bay under sails. When you 'sail' under the golden gate bridge, you can hear every sound over-head. | ||||||

| Perhaps not as adventurous as some of the other charter sailing cruises on the bay, but a wonderful 1.5 hours on the bay with a beautiful pass under the Golden Gate. I would love for it to have been just another half hour longer! This is great when you have someone in town for a brief visit and want to do something different but not that will take up the entire day. We still had time for chowder bread bowls and a beer before the visit was over. | ||||||

| The weather on Friday was PERFECT and we had the BEST time! The crew is friendly and a lot of fun, and what could be better than sailing around the bay drinking beer and hanging out with your friends? We had a fantastic time and plan to come back often! We recommend Adventure Cat to everyone we know! | ||||||

| This was a great way to end our last night in San Francisco. Our family had a great time and will do this again when we return to the bay! The entire trip was relaxing, the secenery awesome and the crew attentive and courteous! I will definently recommend your sunset cruise to our friends! | ||||||

| Absolutely amazing! Ours was a diverse group by age, from 21-60 years young, and we had a short 3 days in San Francisco. One was a wonderfully luxurious day with concierge service in Napa Valley (a $2000 day), a day in SF with the Sunset Cruise and the last day in Monterrey/Carmel. The unanimous agreement was that the Sunset Cruise was the highlight of the trip. The crew was most accommodating, the hors d'ouvres were yummy, the weather was ideal and invigorating...and the sights of Alcatraz and the Golden Gate Bridge were just unbelievable. Definitely a 5-star rating! | ||||||

| Although the catamaran was a lovely way to see the bay, it would have been nice to have some kind of commentary of what we were looking at. Most of the passengers had no idea about anything except the Golden Gate bridge and Alcatraz. We live in Southern CA and the trip was highly recommended and luckily we knew what we were seeing. | ||||||

| My husband was skeptical of this when I planned it, but as it turns out he enjoyed it as much as I did. The crew was obviously very skilled and did a great job. They were very friendly and made us feel comfortable from the beginning. They're not kidding about it being cold out there though- so take a coat with a hood and gloves. I could have stayed out there for hours! Standing out on the net is an absolute must!! | ||||||

| Our sunset cruise around Alcatraz and under the Golden Gate Bridge was very enjoyable. Going on a sail boat made it special. The motor was only used to get us out of the dock area. Food was nothing special and the drink choice was limited, but that is a minor factor in the overall enjoyment of the cruise. | ||||||

| Unlike other bay cruises on large boats this was amazing. The experience was wonderful. We have been to San Francisco many times and this rates as one of the best things to do. The crew was great. Very satisfied. Sunset cruise is worth the extra $$. | ||||||
