I highly recommend the Bay Sail. The catamaran was not crowded for a 1 p.m. Saturday sail, and the crew was personable and knowledgeable. Wear low-heeled shoes and a warm windbreaker (although they have some windbreakers you can borrow aboard.) As I said, great fun! |

I have taken so many different types of visitors on this trip and every single one of them has absolutely loved it. Who else sails you under the Golden Gate Bridge. This boat is safe, relaxing with fabulous views. Everyone always wants to go back. They always say it was so much better than they expected and not the usual tourist activity. I'm always thrilled when someone likes my idea to go on this boat ride so I can go again! My all time favorite! |

This is a great way to explore the bay. Nice 90 minute ride around Alcatraz and under the Golden Gate. Crew was very nice. Feels less touristy than other rides, there is no audio but the crew will answer questions or point things out if you like. Jackets provided, small snack bar and indoor space if it gets too cold or wet. Would do again. |

We missed our launch and the captain of a better larger boat allowed us to sail with him. Super nice time. |

My wife and I had a great time on our cruise around the San Fran bay. The staff was extremely courteous and we had a most enjoyable time. We, both would highly recommend this cruise. |

My sister and her husband we're visting from Washington State. And as it was their anniversary a cruise around the Bay is what they both wanted as their gift. So, got online and found Adventure Cat Sailing Charters. What appealed to me was that it sounded more intimate than a ferry boat cruise and it was! The captain and crew were very friendly, making you feel like you were on your own private sailboat with friends, even providing jackets for those that often come to San Francsico without one. The views were fantastic and took many great pictures. I will definitely do this again and not just when company comes in. It was great for an anniversary and would be a great first date thing to do...just saying. I believe that you can bring your own eats and I would recommend bringing cheese, salami, appetizers like items as only chips were sold. You can purchase wine, beer and other soft drinks. Other than that, which is a minor thing, it was wonderful and will recommend it to my friends and plan on doing a girls day/night out soon....... |

I'd recommend this cruise to anyone. The crew is extremely friendly, informal and knowledgeable. The drinks were cold and served almost immediately after we left the dock. The views, especially once we neared and went under the GG Bridge, were sublime. Here are some recommendations for anyone considering this worthwhile outing:
1. Be on time. We left right at 7, even though four people had not yet shown up.
2. Don't fret if you are the last people to board and enter the inside of the boat and find no seats. In just 3-4 minutes, you are encouraged to head outside. Do so! If you don't have sea legs, no biggie. You'll adapt in a seconds.
3. Dress warmly. They have jackets, but you might feel better in your own. You might even want to bring a hat.
4. Engage the crew members. They seemed to enjoy sharing their love of sailing and their knowledge of the bay and the San Francisco area. One man in particular told some wonderful stories about his time on the water.
5. If you're looking for haute cuisine hors d'oeuvres, well, eat at a restaurant. But if you plan on taking advantage of standard-issue, light snacks on the cruise, you won't be disappointed. It's a nice mix of mostly healthy snacks, and people weren't shy about digging in. Plan to have a fun, relaxed and informal 75 minutes.
Hope this helps you decide. We'll do it again if we ever find our way back to San Fran. |

The day we went out the bay was pretty rough. I had should have known better and was warned by the crew that I could get wet but I wanted to take a picture. I was only on deck for a short time when a wave got me and a few other people. The crew was very nice and offered us jackets to stay warm. Despite me getting soaked, my group had a fantastic time and highly enjoyed the opportunity to drive the boat back. I would recommend this to anyone spending time in SF and looking for unique things to do. |

We saw fog, wind, sun, rough and mild water and it was all great fun. Lots of kids on our boat as well as dates and everyone had a good time. Be prepared to possibly get wet, but who cares?! Sailing under the Golden Gate Bridge took work for the captain and crew but they did not let us down. It is magnificent if you have never seen it from this perspective. We worried an hour and a half wouldn't be enough (we use to sail a lot) but it was absolutely satsfying and we both loved it! |

Enjoyed our sunset cruise . Staff was so nice and knowledgable . Golden gate bridge at sunset was gorgeous. Boat was clean and well maintained . Only suggestion would be more food available for the appetizers . Felt bad taking very much and a better quality of wine . But , overall an awesome experience ! |

A surprise cruise on the bay was my son's surprise birthday present, planned by his friend. We were greated warmly by a member of the staff of Adventure Cat and soon boarded. The ship was well kept, safe for all attending, and staff could not have been more friendly. The whole experience was wonderful and the birthday boy had another first to log on his timeline. I strongly recommend this activity. |
