| A Golden Gate sunset cruise had been recommended to us by friends, but there was more than one to choose from. I had seen the large "mini-cruise" boats that look nice, but I wanted something a little different, something closer to the intensity of being near the water and nature. The CAT Cruise was the answer. Its a reasonably priced catamaran sailing cruise that takes you out into the bay, around Alcatraz island (what a place!) and under the Golden Gate bridge. The cruise was easy to find on Fishermans Wharf. The Captain and the small staff were friendly and accomodating. Feeling the wind in our faces and hearing the water rush under our feet an amazing experience. Seeing the San Francisco skyline from the perspective of the bay was one of the highlights of our trip. Drinks (great choices of beer!) and hor'derves were provided in the spacious cabin. Cameras and picture taking are encouraged. Dress WARMLY. It may be 80 degrees inland, but the temperature drops dramatically in the sailing breezes at sunset. I highly recommend the CAT cruise as part of any trek to Fishermans Wharf and SF. | I took this cruise with a group of friends/business associates. The cruise was perfect! The crew members were very helpful and friendly (we love Caleb!). The boat was well maintained and clean. I would highly recommend this cruise to anyone, even locals who do not have a catamaran. Good job guys! | ||||||

| This was such a peaceful way to take in all the beautiful views of San Francisco. Being able to view the Golden gate bridge up close and personal from the water was a thrill, as it has always been one of my favorite landmarks. I felt like I was on a friends boat, and not on one of the charters that cater to tourist. Very down to earth. | ||||||

| The Sunset cruise with Adventure Cat was fantastic. The staff was courteous and knowledgeable. The ship was in great shape (and the bar was well stocked). If only the fog hadn't closed in like some evil movie monster as we sailed towards and through Golden Gate. It was pretty neat hearing the conversations of the fog horns though. Highly recommended. The foul weather gear provided by the crew was a life saver. | ||||||

| You get a couple of drinks, along with a few various snacks, and you freely walk about a good sized sailboat without too much "intercom" banter that you often get with other boat rides. I enjoyed the time, and it was an overall seamless event. And the sunset view with the golden gate in the background is magnificent! | ||||||

| Highly recommend! We could not have asked for a more beautiful night to be out on the water! Not a cloud in the sky! The sunset cruise was a very nice thing to do in the bay. Very fun and great views. Dress warm...temps during the day were in the 80's but it was much cooler on the water. | ||||||

| 1st time on the bay. cool to see the city from the water. love the sea lions. looped alcatraz and went under the ggb. it was great weather which probably made all the difference but they provide really warms coats on the boat. overall good time. great thing to do with in town guests, parents visiting etc. | ||||||

| If you are just dying to get out on the bay... then this will definitely suffice. Upsides: $32 per person for the 1 1/2 hour catamaran tour. You're on the San Francisco Bay. They do swing underneath the Golden Gate Bridge which was pretty neat. Downsides: You and 40 or 50 other people you don't know seeking space on the railing. (This was a gorgeous day, so perhaps there were more people than usual...) This commercial vessel hardly makes you feel like you're sailing. For the price, it was pretty good. I grew up sailing however and this was just not the sailing / bay experience I was looking for... | ||||||
