Adventure Cat Sailing Charters

This was our third time sailing with AdventureCat, and it is so much fun and such a great deal! If possible, I would recommend going when it isn't peak tourist season, otherwise the boat is a bit crowded (but still fun!)

Really couldn't ask that the cat' cruise itself be any better but would be cool to have maybe a pre-recorded "guide" to points of interest during the cruise...

it was a lovely experience!. ... It was the perfect gift for my boyfriends birthday !... a little adventure close to home...oh and the boat was comfortable and the crew was kind .

This is a must experience for tourists and locals alike. The ride could not be any smoother; the views are awesome and the service from crew is excellent. Don't let the $25.00 charge for adults make you miss this wonderful experience. It's more than worth it Try finding a similar experience for the same price!

I took the lady and she loved it! But I think I might have enjoyed it even more! I think the trick is going on a day where the weather is half decent, since that's the best you can expect in SF. It does get very cold when you get out far and close to the Golden Gate Bridge. My girl was wearing flipflops, and that was not the best idea. Wear shoes and bring a jacket! But if you forget the jacket they are nice enough to provide a few. Overall great experience, I've already recommended it to all my friends.

Our group had a blast. We were celebrating our birthday and the crew was very tolerate of our silliness as we partied pirate style! I'll be sending pics in soon! Such a fun thing to do if you're a local or a visitor!

My wife and I have been on Adventure Cat several times now (and they recognize me every time, probably because I bother them so much about sailing stuff!), and we will continue sailing with them. Why? They love to sail, period! Once I showed up with a friend and no reservations on a cold, cloudy day. I asked how many passengers they needed to go out sailing, and they responded "One -- we love to sail!". (That was a great day on the Bay as well, maybe even because of the weather.) Another time we encountered a major sailboat race involving many different classes of boats, from individual ones up to huge high-tech behemoths with what looked like a crew of 20 or so. And we were sailing right in the middle of them -- way seriously cool! Oh, don't be worried if you are a bit apprehensive of high-performance sailing, because Adventure Cat is a catamaran,meaning it sails completely level, without heeling. Sure it gets a bit exciting some times, simply because that's the nature of sailing, but you never feel unsafe. Nor uncomfortable, since there is ample room inside out of the weather, and they even provide parkas! And did I mention the great bar they have, with amazingly reasonable prices? Anyway, I sound like a shill, but I'm not. Just a very satisfied customer who loves being on a good sailboat as much as these guys enjoy sailing one. Try it -- you'll love it!

My fiance and I had a great time on the cruise. From the staff to the boat, the operation was professionally run with the guests comfort and enjoyment obviously on the top of the priority list. I do and have recommended the AdventureCat as easily to out-of-towners as frequently as I do to locals looking to enjoy The City and The Bay in a new way.

good time - get first in line so you can select where you want to sit - best places are back of the boat so you can fresh air or up front on deck but in the middle right up against the wind guard as you get a great view and somewhat sheilded from the weather. Good for locals or visitors.

Our work group sailed on the Adventure Cat for our summer event and everyone had a wonderful time. Everything went smoothly and we would recommend this activity to others. It's a great way to see San Francisco and the bay, plus sailing on the calm and peaceful water made it all so much more enjoyable. Thank you!!

The was excellent. The views of the Golden Gate Bridge were fantastic and the whole experience was great. I highly recommend this experience for the tourist or local resident.

We had a great time because we were talking the whole time and enjoying eachother. However if I was from out of town I would have been somewhat bored. Maybe tell some facts of the city as you tavel around, or make it for younger crowds and have drinking games. Similar to a booze cruise! The staff was very nice BTW, no complaints about them at all.

It was great fun being on a catamaran; close to the water and really feeling like we were on the bay. We were taken outside the gate, around Alcatraz, in view of Sausalito and back along the shoreline of SF. No complaints whatsoever on route, food, drinks, or crew. The price for a 1.5 hour sail was $50/person. Seems high to me.

We went out on a VERY windy and cold day. The ride was so crazy that we were getting a little sea sick inside. We went outside and it was better to get some air, but still hard to drink and impossible to eat. We agreed that the food wasnt great anyway. When we tried the food inside, the salsa was bland, the chips were low quality--some kind of flavored Doritos--and the bread for the spinach dip was also obviously cheap and tasted bad. But we didnt come for the food. We ended up having a great time outside on the front of the boat and for a while when the wind calmed down, on the trampoline nets. It was definitely an adventure. Loved going under the GG Bridge. Luckily we brought wind breakers and gloves...I would recommend bringing these things on your website, as well as a warm hat; we could have used them. I would recommend this ride but would make sure to say "check the weather before." Although this can be hard if you are planning far ahead of time...and no one knows when the wind will be crazy. I think it would be much more enjoyable on a nice, sunny day. Also, the staff was great! Really nice guys, very helpful, cheerful...they were one of the best parts of the ride.

My friends and I took one of our friends on the boat ride for her the beginning of her bridal shower/bachelorette day. The weather was slightly overcast, but the ride was still beautiful and the staff were really nice to us. We're locals, so we thought we had prepared for the trip (brought extra layers, hats, coats, gloves), but MAN was it cold! If you're going to do this, bring TONS of clothes for the trip out (or stay inside the glass part of the boat) - the trip back is much better because you are out of the wind. Regardless, we had a great time on the boat and had a great day all in all!
