| Trip was great. Late July date meant moderate temps (but bring a jacket/sweater). Cruise went all the way to Golden Gate, so lots of photo ops from different perspectives. Crew was knowledgeable and frindly. Would recommend to anyone. | ||||||

| The crew were very friendly and accomodating. The trip seemed to be over way too soon - wanted to stay out longer - was amazed when the 1 1/2 hours was up. Boat was spotless and other people accompanying us were friendly - cruise only about half full so made it a lot more restful. Loved it and would recommend it for friends - have told all my cohorts at work about it! | ||||||

| I believe this is one of the most undersold, best value activities in the bay area. This cruise gives you an excellent view of the city, Alcatraz and the Golden Gate Bridge. I been many times. I have taken a teen birthday party on the cruise; my children; my husband and I alone on a romantic day and on a date with my in-laws! You can sit on the nets with the water just a short distance below, have a glass of wine and just enjoy the ride. I have been on this trip during rainy weather, choppy seas and calm sunny days. Either way, you feel complete confidence and safety with the crew on board. At $25 for adults, this is a full hour and a half of far greater value. You are on the boat a good amount of time, but after your sail is complete, you feel you have achieved an all day adventure. It really takes you away from the stress and worry. I drive down from Sacramento, park near Aliotos restaurant. Walk the 5 min to Pier 39 and get on the cruise. Once off, we are free to explore, eat at one of the restaurants validating the parking and then get back in the car. Easy, so relaxing and exhilerating all at once. I can leave at 10 am and be home by 5:00 pm I just went there this Memorial Weekend for my 45th birthday. I could not think of anything else I would rather do. Love it! I am a late bloomer in saling- went my first time just 2 years ago. But, I have been going back 3 times per year ever since. Kim | ||||||

| The Adventure Cat was a lot of fun. The nice part is that you don't get all the narrated hype such as "this is the Golden Gate Bridge, etc" Very relaxing, the cat was comfortable, the staff very friendly and of course you're on the beautiful bay. We are formerly from San Francisco, and we do this cruise every time we come back for a visit. Wayne, from Boulder Colorado. | ||||||

| The Sunset cruise was a great way to see San Francisco from a different viewpoint. Our Captain and his "mate" were extremely knowledgeable about the San Francisco area and recommending "must see" places while we spent an extended weekend in the area. My only complaint is that we payed extra for the Sunset Cruise yet we didn't even get to see the sunset or the city all lit up. When I asked, it was due to Daylight Savings happening three weeks early this year and they didn't adjust the departure times accordingly. So, I was disappointed about this. Whoever does the scheduling missed this detail. I would highly recommend this cruise to anyone visiting the SanFran area. Thanks! | ||||||

| I went on an AdventureCat cruise last year and it was great. This year I go another chance to make it to San Fran, and I knew that I wanted to go on another cruise. I brought my co-worker with me and we had a great time. Highly recommended :) | ||||||

| I found a recommendation for this sail in an online "avoid the tourist trap" article. After reading other reviews, I decided it was worth the time and money to give it a try - and I was not disappointed. Before we left the dock we were given a safety talk by the captain. Then, throughout the sail, he and the deck hands were very friendly and helpful, answering questions, pointing out good places to position yourself, taking pictures of groups, etc. When we left Pier 39 it was gray, cloudy, windy and cool, yet the 'cat cut through the choppy water quite nicely, simply porpoising up and down as it neatly moved ahead. First we went around Alcatraz Island, slowing to take it all in, then picked up speed and headed for the Golden Gate Bridge. Again the cat slowed for the bridge, then passed under the span to get very close to a beach on the marine highlands, where there were rocks active with pelicans and cormorants flying around and diving for food, and campers in the woods an on the shoreline. I got some great pictures. Coming back under the bridge the sun broke through and the winds eased, giving great views of various city skyline highlights, the Fisherman's Wharf piers and the Oakland Bay Bridge off in the distance. Along the way we encountered sail and kite surfers, sea lions, other small boats, large container ships, etc. I thought it was a perfect way to see the Bay Area, and would definitely do it again. At the last minute a friend came with me; she lives outside of San Francisco but had never taken this tour before - she is now recommending it to her friends and family. Definitely worthwhile, especially if you like being on the water - just do it! | ||||||

| Well it was rather foggy when we went out so I was a bit disappointed. However it didn't matter - no sunset but it was so lovely and quiet out on the water. Only 4 people showed up for the cruise that day so we had the boat to ourselves pretty much! Good views of Alcatraz, Sausalito, Angel Island and of course under the Golden Gate was cool! Drinks were OK and food - chips, salsa, nuts, bread, artichoke dip, veggie tray were OK also. A lovely experience - I love sailing! | ||||||

| If you decide to make this your way of experiencing the sights of San Francisco Bay, you are making the right choice. My daughter and I both loved the feel of the wind in the sails and enjoyed the movement of the boat over probably bigger waves than usual - that just added to the fun of the sail. Fisherman's Wharf is easy to find, but we could not find any sign to Adventure Cat. However, you will find it if you go down to the docks on the RIGHT side of the wharf. You cannot miss the barking seals. Standing in front of the seals, just walk to the LEFT and you will find the modest sign for Adventure Cat. Be patient if someone does not come to the gate at 2:30 when you are asked to arrive for the 3:00 sail. One of the mates arrived at 2:40 and we boarded easily on time. The hour and a half sail on the Bay was an incredible adventure! It was a windy day and the waves had small white caps, The catamaran glided along silently and quickly, letting us all on the boat enjoy the sights of the Bay, Alcatraz, the beautiful islands, the little communities along the shores and of course, The Golden Gate Bridge!! Spray in our faces as we leaned a bit into the wind, sights of wind surfers gliding undaunted over the waves! A great trip! A great memory of San Francisco! This must be the best way to be in San Francisco Bay! Really recommend this Adventure Cat experience!!!!! (And there is no motor rumbling in your ears, no one on a microphone explaining the obvious. It is just a quiet adventure!) | ||||||

| For me it was the highlight of the trip. The weather didn't cooperate but that didn't bother me. If I had known about the sunset cruise I would have taken it. Really enjoyed the hour and a half. Harry Boyle | ||||||

| Our cruise started out with sunny blue skies/ windy weather and ended an hour and a half later with fog and cooler temperatures. Even so, the views were incredible before that fog rolled in. Bring your own warm, hooded jacket and gloves just in case the weather changes. | ||||||

| Unfortunately the weather was foggy on the day of our cruise so we didn't get the great views we hoped for but on a good day you would get brilliant views and pictures of the bay, Alcatraz and the bridge. Staff friendly and helpful. You need to be quick to get a chance at the nibbles but no problem getting your inclusive drinks. | ||||||
