| We had a wonderful time on this sunset cruise! My husband and I and our two boys (11 & 9) enjoyed the boat, the quiet of the sails, the wonderful scenery (Golden Gate Brige is amazing at Sunset)... My boys never came inside the cabin! They hung out on the front railing pointing at the scenery, and riding the waves on the netting of the Catamaran. The crew provided a nice assortment of snacks, drinks and even extra jackets (It does get cold out there.) which made for a wonderful evening. Have a nice bowl of chowder in a nearby resteraunt before you board to get nice and warm first... | ||||||

| This was an excellent boat trip around the bay. The boat ride was very smooth considering how rough the water was on the bay. Lots of room on the boat. It didn't feel crowded and "touristy" like some of the other tours. The reasonably priced snacks and drinks were a plus too. | ||||||

| This is advertised as a sunset sailing cruise where the engine is used to get into and out of the harbor. Unfortunately, on our cruise the engine was used repeatedly, which took away from the sailing experience. There was not enough seating for everyone and many people were drunk and dropping plastic cups into the sea. The staff was courtesous and pleasant, and the views of the bridge were spectacular. Our family had a nice time on the evening cruise, but less engine would have made it a better sail. | ||||||

| Our first Adventurecat cruise was a Christmas gift. This second trip was for my South Carolina relatives' highlight of San Francisco. The crew was friendly and helpful, the views courtesy of Mother Nature, and the memory-making experience worth repeating. We highly recommend Adventurecat for anyone who wants to see San Francisco from the best seat in the Bay. | ||||||

Sunset cruise - short on value

| I was expecting something a bit more memorable for a sunset cruise of the bay - especially considering the premium one pays for the evening trip. Turns out that it is just a windy, cold run around Alcatraz to the Golden Gate bridge and back to Pier 39. No one explaining what you are seeing - just a couple of guys driving the boat and one guy at the bar. There is also a selection of inexpensive appetizers - chips and salsa, bread and spinach dip, crackers & cheese, grapes, veggies, etc. They ran out of plates pretty quickly, so you had to use napkins, instead. It's popular - there were about 40 people for a Monday night sail - half huddled inside the cabin, the other half freezing outside. Just seemed overpriced at $45 to me. It was our first night in town and we thought that this would be special - my kids were definitely bored. I don't think that it will make the "top 10" list for our vacation. | ||||||

| We had an enjoyable time. The crew was professional. It was unfortunately a 57 degree, drizzly day, so it wasn't the greatest weather for the trip. For those of us who really enjoy sailing, it would have been better if the engine had been turned off and the sailing maximized. Instead the engine was used for more than just docking and getting away from the dock. Given the wind direction, I had looked forward to the maneuvering that would be required to go under the bridge; instead, we just cranked up the engines. | ||||||

| My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our cruise on AdventureCat. The weather was fantastic and the ride allowed us to take in the fresh air and the beautiful scenery around the bay area. Like other reviewers stated, the catamaran sells only about 50 tickets so the group was not overly large. We found plenty of space at the front of the boat and my girls had lots of fun daring to see if some of the water would splash up against them. We were pleasantly surprised that snacks are very reasonably priced. Drinks and chips were only $1 each. I have a weak stomach so didn't know if I would do well on a 1.5hrs cruise. But the ride on the catamaran was extremely smooth and I had no problems whatsoever. I would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting San Francisco. In fact, next time I go, I would sign up again! | ||||||

| After taking other big cat rides in the Virgin Islands, Great Barrier Reef and Hawaii, I was so excited to see that it was an option in San Francisco. We weren't disappointed. Just be sure to wear layers especially in warmer weather as some spots are warm and others quite cold. When reviewing our day, our six year old said this was the most memorable part of the day. Even the big splash of water we got from the wake of another sail boat at the end of our ride turned out to be a funny memory we'll all keep! | ||||||

| ADVENTURECAT WAS A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE. THE CAPTAIN AND CREW ARE VERY HOSPITABLE, AND THE BOAT RIDE UNDER THE GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE WAS BREATHTAKING. 90-MINUTE SAILING TRIP FOR $25 IS AN EXCEPTIONAL BARGAIN FOR A SATURDAY OR SUNDAY AFTERNOON. | ||||||

| This was our third time sailing with AdventureCat, and it is so much fun and such a great deal! If possible, I would recommend going when it isn't peak tourist season, otherwise the boat is a bit crowded (but still fun!) | ||||||

| This was our 3rd. cruise on the Adventure Cat. I would suggest to anyone going to S.F. should have this at the top of their list of things to do in the bay area. The crew, the food and the drinks made it even more enjoyable. The only way to see the Golden Gate bridge is looking up at it from the Adventure Cat. | What a great way to spend an hour or two. The group was small which allowed us to move around the boat at will. The crew was great and the customer service was second to none. Don't forget a jacket and a camera. | ||||||
