Adventure Cat Sailing Charters

We try and go sailing in every city we visit. The views are amazing of the bay area and bridges. This is one of our favorite things to do. The adventure cat is designed to where you can enjoy the ride from a wind shielded part of the boat or walk right on the deck and feel like part of the crew. It is a bit cold and there is a possibility of getting wet. Don't forget to bring a jacket and wear a sweater. If you forget them they were offering extras onboard. There are also beverages and snacks available. We really enjoyed our outing. The captain and crew were friendly and made special time to care for a guest that was wheelchair bound. (yes, the boat is wheelchair accessible and the gentleman looked like he had a wonderful time) would definetly recommend this activity

The crew were friendly,efficient and and delivered the safety instructions with authority. A good wind took us past Alcatraz,and a choppy sea soaked a few participants sitting near the bow. Seeing the bridge from the west at sunset confirmed the colours we knew from postcards,posters etc.and we only wish we could have spent a little more time before the return.

great crew, fun 1.5 hrs, beautiful sunset sail w/great photo ops of bay area and bridge @ sunset. we did a daytime tour boat last time w/a different company. this time, a sailboat sunset ride. the boat tour was more 'informational' w/a tour guide that spoke the whole time. the sailboat was more about the beauty of the bay at sunset, no tour-guide type discussion but friendly, accommodating, interesting crew. we preferred the sunset sail and would recommend it. you can stay inside, or out - and there were refreshments/drinks included in the price. the day boat ride was more like a bus tour on the water.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed this event.

Great experience for us and especially our kids. Our kids enjoyed the trampoline so much and were so excited to see the "Golden Gate Bridge" in a different angle. We wil definitely do it again when we come to San Francisco. Thank you so much for the helpful and polite staff.

I've lived in SF for years and can't believe I had never been on this cruise. There's no better way to spend a couple hours on a nice day than on an Adventure Cat boat - it is amazing!

I sent my parents on this trip for an anniversary present, and they absolutely loved it. No blaring tour guide or noisy engines, a small group of people, and a gorgeous tour of the Bay. My dad said he hadn't been so relaxed in months. Even the fog didn't dampen their enjoyment. I will definitely be recommending this, and doing it myself, in the future.

Our soccer group of 14 year old girls had a wonderful time together on the Bay Cruise, the moms also loved the scenery etc. A terrific group activity for teenagers and adults, and a good value with the group ticket price.

We took the Sunday afternoon charter at 3 Weather was nice, cruise wuz quite windy Excellent views of Alcatraz and the Golden Gate Bridge! Friendly and approachable staff Recommended for 1st time bay cruisers on S/F Bay

well worth the money and the time. smooth sailing. the only draw back was the cold weather.

Our group of 5 included an 89 yr. old woman, our mother, who was celebrating her birthday and her two adult daughters and spouses. We took the trip from Pier 39 in SF. The crew was very helpful in getting my mother aboard the vessel in her wheelchair. The cabin area was very appropriate for a wheelchair person, able to move around to enjoy the sights. I had telephoned in advance to check wheelchair access and the company was very helpful and accurate in answering my questions. We enjoyed the journey--thought we were disappointed by the amount of time we were under power rather than sail. The beauty of this trip is to sail quietly around the bay--turn off the engine! We have recommended this trip to friends.

A little skeptical on taking a boat under Golden Gate Bridge, thought of being bounced around did not appeal to us. To the contrary the ride was smooth and scenic tour was great. As long as you dress WARM and expect some wind out in the Bay, then you will thoroughly enjoy your excursion. The thought of 1 1/2 hour seems short, but given the tour around Alcatraz then out to view the Golden Gate Bridge, the trip was spectacular. We are boaters and thought what could compare to our experiences on the water. This I would gladly do again with company that come to visit us here in the Bay area.

We have taken this cruise several times over the past five years. The weather is always in question during the Spring, but regardless of the weather, it is always a a great time, and we will be back.
