amazing adventure

Great way to see the SF Bay, including Alcatraz, Sausalito, GG Bridge and SF Waterfront. One of the best values for any local or visiting tourist. Hit the fish stands on Fisherman's Wharf afterwards for a crab sandwhich and Anchor Steam (under $11!) or take a stroll to Tadich Grill for the best fish in town (160 years running...).

A different, exclusive view of the City by the Bay
Sat, Sep 15, 07   3:00 PM SueVidauri Female 40-49 Local Group of Friends
A group of 4 friends celebrating a special birthday had a wonderful time on the 1.5 hour bay cruise. The wind was chilly, but the breath taking views looking up under the Golden Gate Bridge were well worth it. Having a bar on board just made the experience even better. We enjoyed a cocktail inside, all the while marveling at the water, wind surfers, city skyline and Alcatraz. Truly a trip will take again.

Experience Wind in Your Sail
Sun, Mar 2, 08   1:00 PM suebor1 Female 50-59 Domestic Tourist(s) Individual
The whole experience was an immense pleasure. As if the spectacular views weren't enough, the act of cutting the engines as the sails are hoisted almost immediately out, allows you to enjoy peace, quiet, and conversation, without the sounds of diesel engines, and inhalation of deisel fumes, as is always the case on other charters. Lovely time. Great Captain and smooth ride.

We had a good time, great view of SF and bridge

The crew were friendly, efficient and and delivered the safety instructions with authority. A good wind took us past Alcatraz, and a choppy sea soaked a few participants sitting near the bow. Seeing the bridge from the west at sunset confirmed the colours we knew from postcards, posters etc.and we only wish we could have spent a little more time before the return.

Everyone's highlight in discussion of our SF activites. This is the second time we have gone on the ride. It was awesome. The Captian and Crew were great. The boat had everthing we needed. And the view and the weather were fantastic. The veiw of the city coming back from the Golden Gate was beautiful. We will do this every time we come back to SF!

A nice relaxing jaunt around the bay

Would recommend to anyone wanting to see the bay but not wanting to be in the crowds that are on many of the larger boats. Excellent views of all the main attractions, friendly crew willing to mingle and share some local knowledge.

We had an incredible time on this sunset cruise, despite the fact that it was raining. It was a beautiful way to see the bay for our anniversary. The skipper and first mate were very friendly and attentive to our needs. The food was delicious, and the drinks were definitely a plus! Highly recommended.

A nice sail
Fri, Mar 23, 07   1:00 PM stevejed Male 50-59 Domestic Tourist(s) Family Without Children
Sail was very good. Crew was friendly. Only reason not enthusiastically recommended is dependency on weather. If sail is cancelled, no refund is offered, only future use. This is not a good option if you are on the last day of vacation.

A great little adventure.

I definitely recommend Adventure Cat to singles, families and friends. We had about 20 people in our group for my Birthday celebration and everyone had a great time. We lucked out with gorgeous weather and could see the views even better. It gets a bit windy but there is seating in the back and in the inside cabin of the boat (not recommended for weak stomachs though). It was nice to hang out/lay out in the front against the windows and trampoline. Watch out for massive splash zones in the front and sides of the boat. I would definitely go back again.

Great way to see the bay, Kid Friendly!

we chose thise cruise to get a more interesting view of the bay than we would be going with a bigger ship. This boat is a catamaran with a semi-protected cabin and lots of space to walk around. I think there is a capacity of about 35 people or so versus the 100+ that you might see on other boats. We had some concern with bringing our 3 year old on with us, but they have floor-to-railing netting all arounds the ship. It was not a problem for us to bring on our son and the captain let him drive the boat for a bit while we were out in open water. We had a great time talking with other people on the boat and enjoying the bay. The sailing we did went around Alcatraz, through the Golden Gate and then back to SF. We sailed almost the entire time - the engine was only used in the marina area. There were 2 crew members on board that were pretty laid back. They don't give a narative about the area that you might get on other boats, but there is some information posted around the boat about history of Golden Gate, etc. We recemmond this trip!
