About The Seller:
Amish Country Tours (Dutchland Tours, Inc.) has been providing guided tours to individuals from the beginnings of tourism in Lancaster County over 40 years ago. The Amish Experience has been chosen three years straight as the local tour provider for the Smithsonian Associates. We have hosted the National State Teachers of the Year, we are the only Amish attraction in the state to be certified for continuing education credits by the Pennsylvania Department of Education, and our Amish Country Homestead is the only Amish house tour in Lancaster County designated a Heritage Site.
While we are not Amish ourselves, our goal is that visitors come to see the Amish not as saints or curiosities, but as neighbors with a different way of life. We believe that differences between cultures need not divide us. If we can respect each other's uniqueness, then we can learn from one another, rather than let differences divide us. As one of our Amish friends once said, "We're just people."
