Amish Country Tours (Dutchland Tours, Inc.) has been providing guided tours in Lancaster County for over 40 years.
The Amish Experience has been chosen three years straight as the local tour provider for the Smithsonian Associates. We have hosted the National State Teachers of the Year, we are the only Amish attraction in the state to be certified for continuing education credits by the Pennsylvania Department of
Education, and our Amish Country Homestead is the only Amish house tour in Lancaster County designated a Heritage Site.
Our goal is that visitors will come to see the Amish not as saints or curiosities, but as neighbors with a different way of life. We believe that the differences between cultures need not divide us. If we can respect each other's uniqueness, then we can learn from one another, rather than let differences divide us. As one of our Amish friends once said, "We're just people."

Activity Description
One SuperSaver Package ticket includes three activities that best exemplify the Pennsylvania Amish: The Amish Farmlands Tour, The Amish Experience Theater and The Amish Country Homestead.
Your ticket entitles you to attend the Farmlands Tour at the time you select above, and to visit the homestead and the theater any time you like.
Amish Farmlands Tour (Approx 2 hours)- Travel the scenic backroads with a certified guide on our motorcoach or van. See everything from children playing outside an Amish one-room school to a farmer working the fields with horses. Stops usually include an Amish farm or craft/bake shop (Amish businesses are closed Sunday), as well as a tasting of local wines. Learn about aspects of Amish life such as weddings, funerals, cottage industries, farm practices, etc.
The Amish Experience Theater (Shows hourly)- Sit in a barnyard setting for "Jacob's Choice," the moving story of an Amish boy's decision to join the faith or live in the modern world. You'll be moved and thrilled as you experience 400 years of Amish history thru magical effects.
The Amish Country Homestead (Tours hourly)- The only Amish house tour designated a Heritage Site by Lancaster County. A guide will take you thru this 9-room house to explain Amish dress, why church is held at home and what life is like without electricity. We unravel some of the riddles of Amish life, such as why a bottled gas refrigerator may be used, but not an electric one.
What Is Not Included?
Applicable taxes and admissions are included. A gratuity for your tour guide and driver is appreciated. Lunch, dinner and rooming accommodations are not included. However, a restaurant and a hotel are on the property for your convenience.
