There is no other way to see any Amish life but joining this. It is a bit "touristy", but it doesn't but you in an awkward position of peeping into somebody's life. |

Very worthwhile tour. Provided lots of information as to how the Amish really live and do things. The tour guide was able to answer most any question you may have as to their lifestyle. Absolutely beautiful country. The house tour was very interesting as well and showed the "updated" Amish. The theater experience was presented in a very different way and helped you understand their lifestyle even better. The food at the restaurant was absolutely delicious and their soft pretzels were fantastic!! |

MY HUSBAND AND I HAD A WONDERFUL TIME ON THE TOUR. IT WAS
SO INFORMATIVE. THE BUS TOUR REALLY SHOWED A LOT. EACH PERSON
WHO GUIDED THE TOUR DID A GOOD JOB OF EXPLAINING EVERYTHING.
I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS TOUR TO EVERYONE. THE ONLY PROBLEM
WE HAD WAS AIR CONDITIONING DID NOT WORK IN BUS, BUT ONCE WINDOWS
WERE OPENED IT WAS COOL ENOUGH TO BE COMFORTABLE. THANKS
AGAIN FOR A GOOD TIME, AND PROFESSIONALISM. |

We flew in for a short weekend, so had limited time in the area. The first day we took the bus tour- very interesting and our guide was very personable, knowledgable and willing to answer any questions we had. We chose to see the movie and tour the house the next day, Sunday, since the shops were closed on Sunday. They were flexible and allowed us to do that, even though we had been scheduled for Saturday. That way we were able to do some shopping on Saturday, and we went back to some of the places we had seen on the tour. The tour guide for the house was a different person from the bus tour- also very knowledgable and willing to answer any questions. We learned a lot about the Amish and the area, which was what we had gone for. We enjoyed the wine tasting as well. Would recommend the tour, and think the price is well worth it |

The only problem with our package is that we went on a Sunday. It would be helpful for others, I think, if it was made VERY CLEAR that there is absolutely nothing going on there on Sundays as it is the holy day for the Amish. This is something we did not know and, since we had only that one day, we were not able to see any of the people or visit any shops or see quilts. It was really disappointing after paying over $200 for our group. We also were left with so many questions about the life of the Amish such as how do they make money to live in such big houses if only some have skills. How can their children be prepared for our world when they end school at eighth grade? If carriages cost $7000.00 how do they all afford them. We would have liked to know more about those issues. Hopefully, some day we will have a chance to return to Lancaster on a week day and could enjoy more of the world of the Amish.

The tour was excellent. I have visited Lancaster county in the past, and I have taken other tours. I must honestly say that this was the very best time I ever had. The tour guide was very informative and very pleasant.
I highly recommend using your serivces to anyone in the future, In fact, I will return again this spring for another tour.

The tour driver was informative about the Amish and their lifestyle. We visited to Amish farms, both of which sold Amish gitt items to tourists, that was ok but I saw no reason for the stop at a Pensylvania wine tasting room other than a way for the tour operator to make extra money.. The wines were not good. In the package was a tour of a recreation of an Amish home. We enjoyed seeing the home and learning how the Amish live. The tour also included a multimedia presentation on the Amish religion, looking at the challenge of a 16 year old boy trying to decide which world to choose, Amish or English. The presentation needs updating but was ok. |
