My wife and I wanted to make our 2 days in Lancaster County both fun and educational. The Amish Experience Theater, Country Homestead, and Country Tour did both. I highly recommend doing all three. You can still have a nice vacation visiting shops, eating home cooked meals, and driving around yourself but you get to really understand the wonderful lifestyle that the Amish have maintained for hundreds of years by taking the tours. Almost makes you want to become Amish. The simple life has so many rewards and benefits.
I shared some pictures of my trip with my team from work and they too enjoyed hearing about our enjoyable trip. But what was really amazing was that one person on my team, when looking at a picture of the guide taking us through the Homestead, said she had the same guide about ten years ago and also had a great time. So, when you see Leon, please ask him how his flying pigs are doing. |

I enjoyed the tour. The driver personally knew the Amish he introduced us to, and has lived among them for quite some time. Everything he was telling us he knew from experience. I would recommend it for anyone who would like a basic understanding of what the Amish are about without having to spend a lot of money or time. |

After doing the Amish experience you will be impressed at the lifestyle these people lead. The bus tour was informative and fun. Everyone should do this at least once. |

I would recommend this tour to anyone who is interested in other cultures and customs. This experience had shown me what the Amish folk is about beyond the simple appearances. The question of "why would they choose to live this way" was finally answered!!!!
"The Amish experience" people were freindly and accomodating. I had to bring my 1 year old daughter with me and we still enjoyed the ride through the coutryside together with her. I was allowed to bring the baby car seat and install it in the van, so even though we didn't have to pay for her ticket, she still had her own seat in the van. The tour guides were very knowledgeable, patient and open to any questions.
The movie, although a bit corny, had a few surprises and was not boring at all.
I only wish we had gone in a better time of the year. In winter the Amish farmers were not working outside, so we didn't see any of the farming or what equipment they use to care for the crops.

Our tour guide, Joe, was super. His knowledge of the Amish was so informative. The pkg deal was great and we learned and saw so much. Your staff inside the lobby where we picked up our tickets were polite, professional and very helpful.
My husband and myself will recommend this to all our freinds and family and most likely take this tour again. Thank you for a great day. |

Although the weather wasn't too good and the Amish people therefore wasn't very active, the tour was very informative and showed us around a few places we would never have found on our own. The tour guide did need prompting questions in a few areas, but apart from that it was highly informative. The theater was also well done and enjoyable. |

The tour was recommended to us by friends who attended last year. As they promised us, it was not a touristy-trap, but rather a sensitive, informed way of educating us about the lifestyle and customs of the Amish.
We chose to take the bus tour so that we would know how to interact with the Amish community during our stay in New Holland - so it was a bit of an orientation.
The tour guides were friendly, respectful, knowledgable, and engaging. The tour of the homestead was very interesting. The movie was well done and addressed the challenge an Amish young adult faces in making the choice to voluntarily become Amish or move into our "English" world.
I heartily recommend the Amish Experience! |

We enjoyed the tour. Learned many things about the Amish. Had been to the Lancaster area years ago, but didn't do any tours. Was worth the money and had a better understanding as we later drove thru the farm lands. |
