Amish Country Tours (Dutchland Tours, Inc.) has been providing guided tours in Lancaster County for over 40 years.
The Amish Experience has been chosen three years straight as the local tour provider for the Smithsonian Associates. We have hosted the National State Teachers of the Year, we are the only Amish attraction in the state to be certified for continuing education credits by the Pennsylvania Department of
Education, and our Amish Country Homestead is the only Amish house tour in Lancaster County designated a Heritage Site.
Our goal is that visitors will come to see the Amish not as saints or curiosities, but as neighbors with a different way of life. We believe that the differences between cultures need not divide us. If we can respect each other's uniqueness, then we can learn from one another, rather than let differences divide us. As one of our Amish friends once said, "We're just people."

Activity Description
The Underground Railroad Twilight Tour combines two popular tour themes into a moving and entertaining evening.
We'll begin with a visit to a local dairy farm, where the ice cream is made right there, direct from the cows. It's authentic, homemade ice cream that you won't find anywhere else!
Visitors are often unaware of the importance Lancaster County played in helping slaves escape from their “masters.” In a very unique experience, we will meet one of these slaves (played by a local re-enactor) and learn of his quest for freedom as we gather at the graves of those who were “conductors” on the Underground Railroad in Lancaster 200 years ago.
The twilight hours are a wonderful time to enjoy the beauty of the Amish countryside. Your guide will take you deep into the farmlands on rarely traveled roads to enjoy some spectacular scenery as the sun goes down.
It’s an evening that touch your heart and delight your tastebuds!
The day and time of your bus tour is set and the number of passengers limited. The price of the tour applies to adults and children, and the tour is not recommended for small children.
What Is Not Included?
Transportation and applicable taxes are included. A gratuity for your tour guide, while optional, is greatly appreciated.
