Seller Description:
Amish Country Tours (Dutchland Tours, Inc.) has been providing guided tours in Lancaster County for over 40 years. The Amish Experience has been chosen three years straight as the local tour provider for the Smithsonian Associates. Because of the knowledge and skills of our guides, and our proximity to Philadelphia, we created the ideal "day-trip" for those not wishing to drive to Philadelphia on their own.

We have been doing both group and individual tours to Philadelphia from Lancaster for over 20 years. Our goal is to provide the story behind the birth of the United States combined with a tour that visits all the key sites, in a convenient one-day trip that allows you to walk in the footsteps of our country's founding fathers.

Activity Description
Birthplace of a Nation, the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. It’s Philadelphia, where “the most historic square mile in America” awaits our arrival.

We will explore the high points --- Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell, Betsy Ross House, Old Christ Church, with free time and a walking tour in the afternoon. The patriotic spirit in each of us will glow brightly as we walk the streets where Washington, Jefferson and Franklin lived and worked, in William Penn’s “City of Brotherly Love.”

We’ll even have time to munch on a soft pretzel or seek out a Philadelphia cheese steak on our lunch break. A tour guide will accompany you from the time you leave Lancaster until your return, with fascinating stories on the way.

Your tour includes the required timed admisssion ticket to Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell, services of a tour guide for the day, walking tour, and transportation to and from Lancaster via motorcoach.

Avoid the hassle of navigating the city traffic, and the expense of gas and parking on this all-day tour. Many Lancaster residents take this tour, or send their visiting guests on it, for exactly these reasons.

Tours depart Wednesdays at 8:30 am from the Amish Experience Theater at Plain & Fancy Farm, just east of Lancaster City. We return between 5:00 and 5:30 pm.

What Is Not Included?
Not included is a gratuity for your tour guide and driver, which would be greatly appreciated. Lunch on your own is not included. However, you may bring your own food and non-alcoholic beverages along on the bus, if desired.
