We enjoyed the bus tour very much and the multimedia was very educational, as was the tour of the Amish home. The tour guides were well informed and cordial. |

The Amish homestead was great along with the motorcoach ride through the farmlands. Great stops and interesting commentary added to the tour. The movie was ok and showed more about the Amish family's choices. Overall, this was well worth the time and money! |

Everything was great. The tour guide was very knowledgeble. We were there earlier then 20 min and that was great because we were the first one and everyone else showed up at the last min and it was a little crazy but because we were early we just sit back and enjoyed. This was a great tour and I have nothing negative to say about it. |

I came to Harrisburg from Florida with my 2 small girls ages 7 and 9. I wanted them to very much be able to experience Lancaster county and the Amish people. I searched online for quite awhile and in my mind I knew the Amish Experience was exactly what I wanted to experience myself and mostly for my girls. I brought my 76 year old Uncle along too. It was a wonderful 4 hours and very educational for all 4 of us. The girls were quite content on the bus tour and enjoyed the cannery, the wine tasting and the Amish House where we were able to spend some time exploring and shopping.
The movie was fabulous and totally first class and such a great story. We thoroughly enjoyed that. Then we ended with a tour of the Amish homestead and learned more important ways and customs of the Amish people. It was so very interesting and fascinating.
I know it was the best tour available and experience as well. I am glad we chose this Amish Experience and it was well worth every penny spent.
The gentlemen who were the tour guides were extremely knowledgeable and able to answer all the great questions that were asked by the guest. I was able to learn so much that I didn't know about the people of Lancaster county.
I wish we could have stayed longer and been able to do some more things. I will miss Lancaster very much. We had a wonderful day. Thanks |

The tour was enjoyable enough, but was very over-priced for what it was. The movie was just "OK", the house tour was just "OK" and the bus tour was just "OK." If the package were closer to $15 it would be worth it - but not at $30 or more. I was hoping for a tour that would provide a more unique perspective on the Amish and some information beyond the basics. The tour proved to be very basic, and I don' t think we learned a single new thing. I think that if you took a map and drove around the countryside, you would see more. Invest in one of the many books about the Amish, and you'll learn much more. |

My family and I recently purchased the Super Saver Amish Tour Package. There were 4 adults and 2 children in our party. We enjoyed the information provided immensely. We enjoyed the information provided to us from the tour guide while on the Amish Country Tour, specifically.
We were not impressed with the Tour Guide who showed us the Amish home on the property. He was very condescending to the Amish way of life and seemed to be there to earn a buck only. There were also way too many people in the house to have a nice, comfortable tour.
All in all, the experience was nice despite the smarty-pants tour guide for the house. His name is Sean, by the way. |

We enjoyed every moment of our time there. We just wish we had planned earlier, so that we could spend at least 2-3 days. It was worth every penny and every second !! |

Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and learned much about the Amish. The tour guide was very imformative and interesting. The stop at the Riehl's homestead was wonderful but would have liked to have maybe 10 more minutes to shop. The tour guide had wonderful detailed information about the buggies that was interesting also. The stop at the Bird-in-Hand Bake/Giftshop needed a little more time to really look around at all the wonderful things in there. The trip to the winery was interesting and enjoyed it but would rather not have gone if we could have had more time at the other two stops mentioned previously. The trip along the back roads was very enjoyable and informative. Beautiful countryside!! Would recommend the trip to any group of persons whether its a school group or just a couple like ourselves. Would have rated the trip "enthusiastically recommended" if we had more time at the stops as stated above. Go for it, you'll be glad you did!!! |
