Certified Segway Technician, Dick Segar, is an avid Segway fan.  His interest in Segways was first spurred by a trip to the Segway Factory in 2003, where he purchased his first Segway PT. 
 
Mr. Segar brought his love for this unique mode of transportation back to Annapolis where he and his wife Kathy started their tour business.  They have since trained thousands of people to ride the Segway PT.

Activity Description
Join us on this guided one-hour Segway excursion through the delightful side streets of Annapolis.  Discover the history of a city that was once home to four signers of the Declaration of Independence. 
 
On this tour you will glide on a Segway PT i2 past incredible mansions and landmarks, including:

  • The Sands House - the oldest house still standing in Annapolis.
  • The William Paca House - a National Historic landmark designed and built by governor William Paca in the late 1700s.
  • The Chase-Lloyd House - built in 1769 by Samuel Chase, Associate Justice to the Supreme Court.
  • The Hammond-Harwood House - one of the remaining homes from the British colonial period.
  • The Peggy Stewart House - named after owner Anthony Stewart's ship, which was burned by The Revolutionaries in 1774
  • St. John's College - one of the oldest colleges in the U.S.
  • The Jonas Green House - the 2nd oldest house in the city.  Originally owned by a friend of Benjamin Franklin.
  • Maryland Governor's Mansion - home to the state's governors for over 125 years.
  • Maryland State House - the oldest state house in continuous use in the U.S. Its dome can be seen from almost anywhere in the city and is topped with the largest lightning rod ever designed by Benjamin Franklin!
Your adventure begins with a short training session where your guide will help you to master the operations of the Segway PT.  Before long you will be testing out you skills on the tour!
